President Donald Trump just blasted MSNBC, after the leftist outlet indicated that it is canceling Joy Reid's program. 

This is not, of course, because Trump thinks Reid should not have been fired.

To the contrary, in his message, which he posted to his social media account on Sunday, he argued that Reid should have been shown the door long ago.

First, we'll take a look at Reid's cancellation, then we'll check out Trump's take on the matter.

She's out

The New York Post reports that "Reid’s show has been canceled as part of a major overhaul by the network’s new president, Rebecca Kutler."

It appears that Reid's final broadcast of The ReidOut will take place at some point during this week.

The Post writes:

Reid, one of the most prominent Trump-bashers in the mainstream media, has been a fixture at the network since 2011, hosting the weekend talk show “AM Joy” since 2016 before being named anchor of the 7 p.m. slot in 2020.

Fox News reports that MSNBC has already selected a replacement for Reid.

Per the outlet:

Reid’s 7 p.m. ET program will be replaced by a show featuring Symone Sanders-Townsend, a former spokesperson to Vice President Kamala Harris, Alicia Menendez and RNC Chair turned MSNBC host Michael Steele, according to a source familiar with the plans.

Trump weighs in

President Trump, of course, never hesitates to call out the likes of Reid and MSNBC, when opportunity presents itself.

On Sunday, he began:

Lowlife Chairman of “Concast,” Brian Roberts, the owner of Ratings Challenged NBC and MSDNC, has finally gotten the nerve up to fire one of the least talented people in television, the mentally obnoxious racist, Joy Reid. Based on her ratings, which were virtually non-existent, she should have been “canned” long ago, along with everyone else who works there. Also thrown out was Alex Wagner, the sub on the seriously failing Rachel Maddow show.

Trump did not stop there. He, instead, went after others at MSNBC.

He continued:

Rachel rarely shows up because she knows there’s nobody watching, and she also knows that she’s got less television persona than virtually anyone on television except, perhaps, Joy Reid. Then there’s, of course, the LOW IQ Con Man, Al Sharpton, who has, perhaps, the lowest TV ratings in the history of television. What is he doing to Brian Roberts to stay on the air?

The president concluded, "This whole corrupt operation is nothing more than an illegal arm of the Democrat Party. They should be forced to pay vast sums of money for the damage they’ve done to our Country. Fake News is an UNPARDONABLE SIN!"
