Trump campaign strongly denies new groping allegations from Dem activist linked to Obama, Harris campaigns
With just two weeks to go before the election, Democrats and the media are frantically pushing the unverified claims of a former model who has just now asserted that former President Donald Trump sexually groped her more than 30 years ago while she was dating the late convicted pedophile and Democrat financier Jeffrey Epstein.
The claim from former model Stacey Williams has been firmly denied by the Trump campaign, which linked the accusation to the struggling campaign of Vice President Kamala Harris, according to the New York Daily News.
Indeed, other reports have exposed Williams as a Democrat activist connected to the campaigns of Harris and former President Barack Obama, and legitimate questions have been raised about why she has finally come forward now but didn't publicly accuse Trump during his previous two presidential campaigns.
Williams' accusations against Trump
The Guardian in the U.K. was the first to report on Williams's allegation. Williams, a former Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue model, first publicly made her accusation against former President Trump during a "Survivors for Harris" Zoom call earlier this week.
Williams claimed that she was dating Epstein at the time and they were walking in New York City in 1993 when they ended up at Trump Tower and paid a visit to the real estate mogul, who like many other wealthy elites was a social acquaintance of the wealthy financier who was later revealed to be a sexually abusive pedophile.
She insists that Trump, immediately upon meeting her in the lobby of his office, grabbed her and began inappropriately groping her breasts and buttocks in front of Epstein. She also alleged that Trump later sent her a postcard with an aerial photo of Palm Beach, Florida that included his Mar-a-Lago resort and featured a handwritten note on the back that read: "Stacey -- Your home away from home. Love Donald."
Trump campaign denies Williams' allegations
In a whirlwind of interviews this week with The Guardian, CNN, and NBC News, among others, Williams asserted that the timing of her public accusation so close to the election is purely coincidental, as well as that she had declined to come forward during the 2016 and 2020 elections -- as so many other Trump accusers did -- out of concerns for her privacy and potential blowback.
In a statement to The Guardian, Trump campaign spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt said of Williams' claims, "These accusations, made by a former activist for Barack Obama and announced on a Harris campaign call two weeks before the election, are unequivocally false."
"It’s obvious this fake story was contrived by Kamala Harris’ campaign to distract from the deeply concerning and newly unearthed allegations that the Second Gentleman, Doug Emhoff 'forcefully slapped' his ex-girlfriend," Leavitt added, according to CNN.
Williams is a Democratic activist who supported the Obama and Harris campaigns
According to Newsweek, records reveal that Williams is indeed a longtime Democratic activist, and while she did not work directly for former President Obama's campaign in 2008, she was involved in a pro-Obama fundraising group known as Clean Tech for Obama and her name was mentioned multiple times among others in a post-election document celebrating the campaign's success.
Further, the Trump campaign provided the outlet with copies of Federal Election Commission filings that link Williams' name to the Obama for America campaign committee.
As for the Harris campaign, Williams has insisted that she had no contact with the candidate or her people, and the "Survivors for Harris" group, while clearly supportive of the Harris campaign, is not officially affiliated with it.
The allegations against Emhoff
Leavitt's statement also mentioned the allegations against VP Harris' husband, Doug Emhoff, who according to the New York Post stands accused of both cheating on his first wife with the nanny of their children, whom he impregnated, and then later allegedly slapped a woman he briefly dated after his first wife divorced him but before he married Harris.
Emhoff, for his part, has confirmed the affair with the nanny and not denied the slapping incident, though he has dismissed it as a "distraction" for the Harris campaign. Meanwhile, the Washington Examiner reported that the Harris campaign, as well as the White House and vice president's office, have declined to respond to multiple requests for comment about the alleged incidents involving the second gentleman.
