Former President Donald Trump just compared America to "a person dying of cancer," while going on the attack against several government agencies, including the FBI. 

Trump did so in messages that he recently posted to his social media platform Truth Social.

"Our country is SICK"

Trump's comparison of the U.S. to "a person dying of cancer" came on Saturday morning.

"Our Country is SICK inside, very much like a person dying of Cancer," Trump wrote.

He continued: "the Crooked FBI, the so-called Department of 'Justice,' and 'Intelligence,' all parts of the Democrat Party and System, is the Cancer. These Weaponized Thugs and Tyrants must be dealt with, or our once great and beautiful Country will die!!!"

Background

Trump's comment, here, comes after the latest "Twitter Files" release. This release focuses on the relationship between Twitter's former management and the FBI.

Substack writer Matt Taibbi, the reporter for this latest "Twitter Files" release, wrote, "Twitter’s contact with the FBI was constant and pervasive, as if it were a subsidiary." At another point, Taibbi writes that there was a "unique one-big-happy-family vibe between Twitter and the FBI."

Taibbi details this relationship using many examples. One big revelation that was made actually concerns Trump. Taibbi writes:

The FBI’s social media-focused task force, known as FTIF, created in the wake of the 2016 election, swelled to 80 agents and corresponded with Twitter to identify alleged foreign influence and election tampering of all kinds.

In other words, it appears that the FBI used the Russia-Trump Collusion Hoax in order to justify the creation of a social media task force that would direct Twitter to censor users whom the FBI found unacceptable.

This is the context within which Trump made his comparison.

"Rigged and Stolen"

Trump used these latest revelations from Twitter to further support his claim that the 2020 presidential election was "rigged and stolen," in part, due to improper election interference by the likes of Twitter.

Trump in another Truth Social message posted on Sunday, wrote:

The FBI’s Illegal Left Wing DOMINANCE over TWITTER, FACEBOOK, and other Big Tech companies, has been a shock to the World, but remember, this was only one of MANY ways that the 2020 Election was Rigged & Stolen!!!

"I’M JUST FIGHTING TO SAVE OUR COUNTRY!" Trump added.

As more and more information comes to light, it really does appear that Trump has a very legitimate basis to question the results of the 2020 presidential election.
