During the course of last year's campaign, Vice President Kamala Harris received endorsements from multiple high-profile celebrities.

However, President Donald Trump recently called for an investigation into whether Harris illegally paid for those endorsements.

Trump: "Candidates aren’t allowed to pay for ENDORSEMENTS"

According to Breitbart, Trump's comments came in the form of a Truth Social post which he put up in the early hours of Monday morning.

"HOW MUCH DID KAMALA HARRIS PAY BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN FOR HIS POOR PERFORMANCE DURING HER CAMPAIGN FOR PRESIDENT?" Trump demanded.

"WHY DID HE ACCEPT THAT MONEY IF HE IS SUCH A FAN OF HERS? ISN’T THAT A MAJOR AND ILLEGAL CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTION? WHAT ABOUT BEYONCÉ? …AND HOW MUCH WENT TO OPRAH, AND BONO???" the president continued.

"I am going to call for a major investigation into this matter," Trump added. "Candidates aren’t allowed to pay for ENDORSEMENTS, which is what Kamala did, under the guise of paying for entertainment."

"In addition, this was a very expensive and desperate effort to artificially build up her sparse crowds," the president asserted before declaring, "IT’S NOT LEGAL!"

Spingsteen accused Trump of being "the most dangerous candidate"

Breitbart recalled how Spingsteen posted a video to Instagram last October in which he claimed that the United States has never been so "politically, spiritually and emotionally divided" since the Civil War.

The aging rockstar went on to maintain that "Donald Trump is the most dangerous candidate for president in my lifetime."

He accused Trump of exhibiting "disdain for the sanctity of our Constitution, the sanctity of democracy, the sanctity of the rule of law and the sanctity of the peaceful transfer of power should disqualify him from the office of president ever again."

Springsteen further alleged that Trump "doesn’t understand the meaning of this country, its history, or what it means to be deeply American."

Beyoncé appeared at Harris rally in Houston

Meanwhile, pop star Beyoncé voiced support for Harris while appearing at a Houston rally for the vice president, saying, "I'm not here as a celebrity, I'm not here as a politician. I'm here as a mother."

"A mother who cares deeply about the world my children and all of our children live in, a world where we have the freedom to control our bodies, a world where we're not divided," the singer stated.

She concluded by saying, "Imagine our daughters growing up seeing what’s possible with no ceilings, no limitations. We must vote, and we need you."
