Trump endorses Judge Brad Schimel in Wisconsin Supreme Court race
Waukesha County Circuit Court Judge and former state Attorney General Brad Schimel is squaring off against Democrat-aligned Circuit Court Judge Susan Crawford for a seat on Wisconsin's Supreme Court.
According to Breitbart, Schimel's campaign got a major boost late last week when President Donald Trump touted his campaign.
Trump calls on Republicans to vote early for Schimel
"There is a very important Election for State Supreme Court on April 1st, and Early Voting is now underway," Trump said in a Friday post on Truth Social.
"Brad Schimel is running against Radical Left Liberal Susan Crawford, who has repeatedly given child molesters, rapists, women beaters, and domestic abusers 'light' sentences," Trump wrote.
"She is the handpicked voice of the Leftists who are out to destroy your State, and our Country — And if she wins, the Movement to restore our Nation will bypass Wisconsin. All Voters who believe in Common Sense should GET OUT TO VOTE EARLY for Brad Schimel," he continued.
"By turning out and VOTING EARLY, you will be helping to Uphold the Rule of Law, Protect our Incredible Police, Secure our Beloved Constitution, Safeguard our Inalienable Rights, and PRESERVE LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL. SO IMPORTANT – PLEASE GET OUT AND VOTE. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!" Trump added.
Schimel welcomes Trump's endorsement
Breitbart noted how Schimel was quick to welcome the president's endorsement when speaking with reporters the following day.
"He called me, and he knows about the race, and he knows that it's important that we have the rule of law in Wisconsin."

"He called me, and he knows about the race, and he knows that it's important that we have the rule of law in Wisconsin," Schimel said.
The judge and former attorney general indicated that he is "excited" to have Trump on board as "adding his voice to this will help me get my message out."
Elon Musk is also backing Schimel
Breitbart noted how Schimel also said in a statement that he is "humbled and deeply honored" by Trump's words before adding, "Wisconsin conservatives must unite to restore objectivity to our Supreme Court and save our state like we saved our country in November."
Trump is not the only high-profile Republican to get behind Schimel, as Politico reported last month that Tesla CEO and DOGE head Elon Musk is backing him as well.
The website noted that Musk is a major donor to the political action committee Building America's Future, which has spent $1.5 million on Schimel's behalf.
Musk also voiced support for Schimel in a January social media post, writing, "Very important to vote Republican for the Wisconsin Supreme Court to prevent voting fraud!"
