It appears that President-Elect Donald Trump's family has a new member: Elon Musk.

Since his victory in the 2024 presidential election, Trump has rarely been seen in public without Musk.

The two, according to Fox News, even celebrated Thanksgiving together, with the rest of Trump's family. Video of the event has been circulating the internet. Take a look:

The details

The above video is from a Thanksgiving dinner that was held at Mar-a-Lago on Thanksgiving Day.

Trump can be seen, in the video, sitting next to his youngest son, Barron Trump, and next to Musk. Also at the table was former First Lady Melania Trump and Musk's mother, Maye Musk.

The video captures a moment during the dinner when the song YMCA was played. It has become one of Trump's signature songs as he has rallied across the country.

As the song played, CNN reports:

Trump slapped his hand on the table and gave Musk’s shoulder a friendly pat, and Musk pumped both fists in the air. Musk, who owns the social media platform X, wore a black blazer and a t-shirt with an “X” emblazoned on it. Trump smiled, turning to Barron and Melania, as other dinner guests stood around taking photos and clapping along.

Elon's mother joined in the dancing, and Melania Trump could be seen laughing. Barron Trump, on the other hand, took a more reserved approach.

Trump's new right hand man?

Trump has nominated Musk to lead the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), which will look to eliminate government waste.

This comes after Musk, in the leadup to the 2024 presidential election, endorsed Trump and worked to get Trump elected.

Now, it would appear that the two have formed a close relationship, as Trump has rarely been seen without Musk since the 2024 election.

At the Thanksgiving dinner, CNN, quoting Yaakov Safar, reports:

"Trump and Elon walked around the room, stopped at each table, and spoke to all the guests. He was interested in each one, and the rest of the time he spoke with Barron and Elon in great discussions on a lot of subjects, and the joy was enormous."

It will certainly be interesting to see how this relationship, between Trump and Musk, plays out in the coming years. The question many have is whether they can help America to reach new heights. Time will tell.
