Trump floats possibility of banning electricity-generating windmills
America's energy independence is one of the cornerstone promises President Donald Trump made to American voters before he won in a landslide victory in November, and he's already working on it.
According to Fox News, Trump vowed to potentially end the production of electricity-generating windmills, which have become disgusting, toxic eyesores across some of America's most beautiful areas.
The president-elect has criticized windmills for years, noting their extremely terrible effect on wildlife and the environment. Millions of Americans couldn't agree more.
While he's steadily criticized the giant, oil-leaking, bird and whale-killing machines, his latest mention of windmills signals that his administration is potentially looking to severely restrict them moving forward.
What's going on?
President-elect Trump made his thoughts on the matter clear during a recent press conference at Mar-a-Lago, adding that windmills are insanely expensive ways to generate so-called "clean" energy.
"It's the most expensive energy there is. It's many, many times more expensive than clean natural gas," Trump told reporters at Mar-a-Lago on Tuesday. "So we’re going to try and have a policy where no windmills are being built."
Fox News noted:
The federal government currently offers several different ways to obtain subsidies for windmill production, which Trump pointed to as one of the main issues with the energy source.
"The only people that want them are the people getting rich off windmills, getting massive subsidies from the U.S. government," Trump added. "You don’t want energy that needs subsidy."

"You see what's happening up in the Massachusetts area, where they had two whales wash ashore in I think a 17-year period," Trump said during the presser. "Now they had 14 this season. The windmills are driving the whales crazy, obviously."
Social media reacts
Users across social media agreed with the incoming president.
"Look at the ratables. Everywhere wind is installed the consumers electrical bill goes through the roof once online-so the consumer can pay for all the subsidies it’s government gave to their friend who just made billions of dollars," one X user wrote.
Another X user wrote, "Ocean City will forever be thankful if you can get this done."
Nixing the green energy scams is one of the important first steps for America in regaining energy independence.
