Bettina Anderson, Donald Trump Jr.'s new girlfriend, is not shying away from the spotlight. 

In fact, the reverse is true. She has begun "flaunting" pictures of herself and Trump Jr. on social media, the Daily Mail reports.

This comes after the sudden breakup between Trump Jr. and his previous girlfriend, 55-year-old Kimberly Guilfoyle, who is about to be a member of President-Elect Donald Trump's administration.

Not only that, but Guilfoyle was much more than Trump Jr.'s girlfriend. She was his fiance of four years.

Background

A couple of weeks ago, news outlets reported that Trump Jr. and Guilfoyle had split up. This immediately led to widespread speculation about what caused the breakup.

The Daily Mail, in a report at the time, claimed that there had been tension between Trump Jr. and Guilfoyle for months.

Per the outlet:

There were already signs of tension back in March, say insiders, when Guilfoyle invited hundreds of guests to her 55th birthday party at their home in Jupiter, Florida. Don Jr, it's been claimed, was nowhere to be seen for parts of the evening, apparently retreating to his bedroom.

The outlet then went on to suggest the "real" reason why the couple split. This was based on insider sources. The outlet wrote:

Others suggest Don Jr has found himself increasingly embarrassed by Guilfoyle's little-left-to-the-imagination wardrobe, colorful public displays, and her taste for a party lifestyle that might sit awkwardly with a Trump family increasingly mindful of its presidential legacy.

To this day, we still do not know exactly what caused the breakup, as the Trump family has been quiet about it.

It was not long after the news that Trump Jr. and Guilfoyle had split that reports came out indicating that Trump Jr. already had a new girlfriend.

The Daily Mail, in yet another report, wrote:

Donald Trump Jr. is proudly flaunting his new relationship with Bettina Anderson amid news he has split with fiancée Kimberly Guilfoyle, insiders tell DailyMail.com. The president-elect's eldest son reportedly hard-launched his new girlfriend at dinner at his father's Mar-a-Lago club Wednesday night where the two were seen 'parading their love for all to see.'

Now, a couple of weeks have passed since this early reporting from the Daily Mail, and, now, the outlet reports that Anderson has begun posting pictures of herself with Trump Jr.

Per the outlet:

Bettina, 38, posted a flurry of snaps of a gun and hunting dog as she teases participating in one of Don Jr.'s favorite pastimes. Although he's not pictured in the posts to Instagram, Don Jr., 46, is a well-known avid hunter and outdoorsman. It's another sign that his relationship with the Palm Beach socialite is getting even more serious in recent weeks.

Meanwhile, Guilfoyle did not attend the Trump family's Christmas dinner this year.
