Trump pulls United States out of UNRWA and the UN Human Rights Council
President Donald Trump is following through on another one of his gigantic campaign promises.
According to Breitbart, Trump announced that he's defunding the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), an organization widely accused of aligning with Hamas terrorists.
At the same time, the president also took the United States out of the United Nations Human Rights Council, "which has been little more than a forum for dictators to sanitize their human rights records while bashing Israel and, to a lesser extent, the United States," Breitbart reported.
Not only are they promises fulfilled, but Trump also made similar moves during his first term in the White House.
What's happening?
A Politico report noted that Trump waited to sign the executive orders pertaining to the removal of the United States from both entities until Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu arrived in Washington D.C.
Politico noted:
The actions, which reinstate policies in place during the last Trump administration, will come on the day the president is set to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Washington.
The U.S. has long accused the council of bias against Israel and of giving cover to governments with human rights abuses. It comes after the Biden administration paused funding to United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East, known as UNRWA, following reports that staffers were involved in the Oct. 7 attack by Hamas on Israel.
BREAKING: Trump signed an Executive Order withdrawing U.S. support from the UNRWA. Some UNRWA employees took part in Hamas' Oct 7th attack and helped Hamas hold hostages including American citizens.

Israeli government spokesman David Mencer released a blistering statement to open a press briefing on the subject last week.
"Every dollar to UNRWA is a dollar to Hamas," he said. "The time to defund and to dismantle UNRWA is now."
Breitbart said:
He noted that UNRWA employees had participated in the October 7 terror attack, and had held Israeli hostages. He added that UNRWA forces Palestinians to remain “refugees” and indoctrinates successive generations to hate Israel.
Social media reacts
Users across social media weighed in on the latest development.
"Trump's EO to defund UNRWA shows strength & protects US interests by cutting off terror funding. Biden's past support was a mistake. It's about time we stop financing groups tied to Hamas. America first, always!" one X user wrote.
Another X user wrote, "The wins just keep coming harder and faster each day. I am NEVER getting tired of this!!!"
It'll be interesting to see what else Trump does for America. We can't wait.
