Barron Trump has received a good deal of attention from Republicans, with one poll showing that 40% of them would support amending the Constitution so he could run for president before age 35.

Barron made news again this week when his famous father spilled some of the details regarding how he was raised.

"No drugs, no alcohol, no cigarettes"

According to the Daily Mail, President Donald Trump's comments came during a podcast interview earlier this week with New York Post contributor Miranda Devine.

"I always said the same thing. I said: no drugs, no alcohol, no cigarettes," Trump told Devine when asked about the advice that he gave to his youngest son.

The president is well known for abstaining from alcohol, partly as a result of losing his elder brother to alcohol-related health problems.

"I also would say don't get tattoos, but I don't say it too strongly, because a lot of people have gotten tattoos, and that's what they choose to do," he continued.

The Daily Mail noted that many of those who attended Trump's rallies have tattoos while Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth famously has a Jerusalem Cross on his chest.

Trump hints at older kids' potential political futures

In addition to Barron, Trump also spoke of his four older children, saying, "They were born smart. But they work hard too, and they’re good to people."

"I think all of them probably have a future in politics, frankly. And Don is very good. A good guy. He's an outdoorsman," the president continued.

"Eric has done a fantastic job," Trump stressed. "Ivanka, you know Ivanka? Yes. Very well. She’s so great. And Tiffany has done really well. She went to a great law school and did very well. Always a good student."

Interestingly, Donald Trump Jr. dismissed a series of media reports last month that he might launch a run for his father's position in 2028.

Trump Jr. demurs on 2028

"Fake News [Reuters] should retract this BS. They put a comma where there should have been a period to change the context of what I said," Trump wrote in a social media post.

"And [for what it's worth], I've always said, while I'll never 100% rule it out down the line, I have ZERO interest in running for office in 28 or anytime soon," he added.
