Trump says Devon Archer was 'screwed by the Bidens,' promises a 'full pardon'
The New York Post reported earlier this month that Hunter Biden's former business partner Devon Archer will be resentenced after his prior sentence for defrauding a Native American tribe was overturned on a technicality.
Yet in a stunning turn of events, Archer indicated this week that he may be on track for a pardon from President Donald Trump.
Trump recently offered Archer some "very encouraging words"
Archer said during an interview on Monday with Fox News host Jesse Watters that the president had offered him some "very encouraging words" when the two met at the NCAA wrestling championships in Philadelphia this past weekend.
"I had gotten word from my attorney earlier that the president was discussing this, and he had acknowledged that he was going to do it," Archer told Watters.

Archer previously served alongside former President Joe Biden's son on the board of Burisma, a Ukrainian oil and gas company.
Archer: Joe Biden participated in business meetings as vice president
Fox News noted how Archer testified before the House Oversight Committee in 2023 regarding how the the Biden family "brand" was used to obtain financial rewards.
This included having the elder Biden occasionally turn up on speakerphone during business meetings while he was serving as vice president.
"Joe [Biden] would end a meeting and say, ‘You do a favor for me, you're my friend. You do a favor for my son, you're a friend for life,’" Archer recalled to Watters.
Devon at one point insisted to the host that he didn't believe he would ever be in need of a pardon because "I never did anything."
"I was a victim of financial fraud in which I invested a lot of money and was taken down [by] a whistleblower [who] was blowing the whistle on Hunter," he asserted.
Trump says Archer was "screwed by the Bidens"
Meanwhile, Trump told the Post on Sunday that a "full pardon" for Archer will be forthcoming because he was "screwed by the Bidens."
"They destroyed him like they tried to destroy a lot of people," the president said of Hunter Biden's former business associate.
Then President Biden raised eyebrows towards the end of his term when he pardoned his son along with other members of his family.
