Trump says illegal migrants who kill Americans should be executed
Throughout this year's election campaign, former President Donald Trump has made confronting crime and securing the border major planks of his platform.
That fact was on display the weekend when he called for illegal migrants who commit murder to be executed.
Trump highlights case of Georgia woman who was abducted at Wal-Mart
According to Newsmax, Trump touted that policy proposal while speaking to supporters at a rally in Macon, Georgia on Sunday evening.
During his address, he highlighted the case of Mimi Ramirez-Rodriguez, a 25-year-old mother who was allegedly abducted and murdered by Mexican national Angel DeJesus Rivera-Sanchez.
Mimi Ramirez-Rodriguez was kidnapped and murdered by an illegal alien—leaving behind a 9 year-old girl. I met her grieving mom Carmen tonight in Georgia. "An incredible 25-year-old mom, beautiful mom, named Mimi Ramirez-Rodriguez was kidnapped from a Wal-Mart parking lot," the former president declared.
"She was horribly abused and murdered, violently murdered. A week later her body was dumped on a road and was found by police in a condition that they said they've never seen anything like that before," he continued.
Victim's mother: "Donald Trump is the best choice for the USA"
Newsmax noted how Trump was later joined on stage by the victim's mother, Carmen Ramirez, who voiced support for his election.
"I lose my daughter but I don’t lose my faith. I know Donald Trump is the best choice for the USA. And not [just] the best choice, he’s the only one we need to protect our country," Ramirez said.
"I have a 25-year-old daughter with a lot of life and somebody stopped her life. And we have to stop with this and keep going with Donald Trump," she declared.
Imposing the death penalty is one element of Operation Aurora, a plan which the former president unveiled last month.
Trump says drug dealers "understand" the death penalty
Meanwhile, Trump also promoted the idea of executing drug dealers during a campaign event held in Pennsylvania three months ago.
"So a drug dealer kills 500 people. And the only thing they would understand would be the death penalty," Trump stated.
If you had the death penalty for drug dealers, you wouldn't have any more drugs," the former president went on to insist.
