Trump signs EO declassifying JFK, RFK and MLK assassination files
President Donald Trump has proven, time and time again, that when he makes a promise to his supporters -- and to America -- he means it.
According to Fox News, in another stunning display of following through on campaign promises, Trump ordered the declassification of files regarding the assassinations of JFK, RFK, and MLK earlier this week.
Trump made the promise come true through the use of an executive order within his first few days in office.
In a bold and stunning statement to reporters in the White House as he signed the order, Trump said, "Everything will be revealed."
What's going on?
Interestingly, Trump made the same promise regarding the JFK files during his first term in office, and order much of the files declassified.
However, the CIA and FBI filed appeals with the president to not go through with the process, which Trump, at the time, agreed was best.

Fox News noted:
After appeals from the CIA and FBI, Trump blocked the release of hundreds of records. Trump said at the time the potential harm to U.S. national security, law enforcement or foreign affairs is "of such gravity that it outweighs the public interest in immediate disclosure."
Earlier this week, Trump did a complete 180 on the matter, explaining in a statement why he chose to order the declassification of the files once and for all.
"I have now determined that the continued redaction and withholding of information from records pertaining to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy is not consistent with the public interest and the release of these records is long overdue," Trump said.
Social media celebrates
Many across social media applauded the president for signing the order, agreeing that the truth for the American public is long overdue.
"A great day! This is remarkable. Americans deserve to know everything. Thank you for the transparency in the government," one X user wrote.
Another X user wrote, "This is a huge day for transparency and accountability in America. We finally get to see the truth about these tragic events. Let's hope this brings closure to the families and sheds light on any wrongdoing. Trump is doing what others couldn't, taking on the deep state. Kudos to Trump for keeping his promise and releasing these files."
It'll certainly be fascinating to see what the files contain.
