Trump snubs Nikki Haley; Haley responds

President-Elect Donald Trump has announced that Nikki Haley will not be part of his administration.

Trump made the announcement, according to Fox News, via social media over the weekend.

First, Trump refused to pick Haley as his running mate, despite calls from many Republicans to do so, and, now, he is refusing to make her part of his administration.

Haley, for her part, has responded to Trump's latest decision.

"I will not be inviting..."

In a Truth Social post on Saturday, Trump announced that he "will not be inviting" Haley to join his administration.

He wrote:

I will not be inviting former Ambassador Nikki Haley, or former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, to join the Trump Administration, which is currently in formation. I very much enjoyed and appreciated working with them previously, and would like to thank them for their service to our Country. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!

As you can see, Trump did not go into great detail about why he made this decision. It is well-known, however, that Trump considers Haley to be "disloyal," and it is also well-known that Haley harbors political viewpoints that run contrary to the "MAGA" movement.

Considering these two points, it is no surprise that Trump has more or less severed ties with Haley.

It may be more surprising to learn that Trump has also severed ties with Pompeo. Even less is known about why Trump did so, but it is known that Trump has been advised - by Tucker Carlson, among others - to part ways with him.

Haley responds

Haley has released a statement in response to Trump's decision not to make her part of his incoming administration.

She wrote:

I was proud to work with President Trump defending America at the United Nations. I wish him, and all who serve, great success in moving us forward to a stronger, safer America over the next four years.

The question now is what the future holds for Haley.

Many political commentators are predicting that, over the next four years, she will, once again, try to position herself for a run at the U.S. presidency. Time will tell if this is indeed the case.
