Trump sounds off on Kamala's 'messy and dangerous' health status, demands cognitive test

Donald Trump accused Kamala Harris of being compromised by "deeply serious" medical conditions after her campaign released a doctor's summary of her health.

"I have just seen Kamala's Report, and it is not good," Trump said on Truth Social.  "These are deeply serious conditions that clearly impact her functioning."

Kamala's health records

The Harris campaign released the records to pressure Trump to share details about his own health, as Harris tries to paint her rival as cognitively unfit.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump dismissed Harris' "desperate" demands and described his past reports as "flawless."

"As to her completely desperate request for my Medical Statements, she is dying to see my Cholesterol (which is 180!), I have already provided them, many times, including quite recently, and they were flawless."

Trump then turned to Harris' medical report, which mentioned that she suffers from seasonal allergies and hives.

White House doctor Joshua Simmons, who has been Kamala's primary care doctor during her time as VP, claimed that Harris has the "physical and mental resiliency" to be president and described her as being in "excellent health."

Allergies, while common, can cause brain fog. Hives can be triggered by stress. Harris has been transparent about her difficulty managing anxiety, admitting to suffering insomnia when Biden endorsed her.

Trump ripped Harris' conditions as creating a "very messy and dangerous situation."

"These are deeply serious conditions that clearly impact her functioning," Trump wrote. Maybe that is why she can’t answer even the simplest of questions asked by 60 Minutes, and others. What is this all about? I don’t have these problems…" he wrote.

"I’ve put out more Medical Exams than any other President in History, and aced two Cognitive Exams (the Doctor stated that my “cognitive exams were exceptional!”). I am far healthier than Clinton, Bush, Obama, Biden, but especially, Kamala."

Trump demands cognitive exam

Trump, who has often mocked Harris as unintelligent, has also called for her to take a cognitive exam to clear up doubts about her "slow and lethargic" responses to interviewers.

Harris routinely fails to answers basic questions, often sharing puzzling, roundabout responses that have inspired mockery and criticism.

"I believe it is very important that Kamala Harris pass a test on Cognitive Stamina and Agility. Her actions have led many to believe that there could be something very wrong with her," Trump wrote in a post on X.

"Also, she is slow and lethargic in answering even the easiest of questions. We just went through almost four years of that, we shouldn’t have to do it again!" he added, comparing Harris to Biden.

Kamala's doctor affirmed her "mental resiliency" without administering a cognitive test, although, at 59, she is below the age for a routine cognitive screening.

Of course, a doctor's evaluation will not end the debate on Harris' readiness to serve as president. It is ultimately up to the people to decide if Harris has the experience and qualifications for the role.
