Trump steps out from behind bulletproof glass to comfort woman at rally
Heightened security measures were on display at a rally hosted by former President Donald Trump in Asheboro, North Carolina earlier this week.
However, that didn't stop the former president from venturing out to the crowd when he saw what could have been a medical emergency.

According to the Daily Mail, Trump was speaking about boxing and mixed martial arts when someone in the audience could be heard shouting for a medic.
The Republican nominee, who was positioned behind a row of bulletproof windows, responded by asking that a doctor come forward.
"It is very hot here, I notice. It is very hot," Trump remarked after a few moments as he stood alongside his running mate, Ohio Republican Sen. J.D. Vance.
"A lot of the people waited for days to get here," Trump went on to point out. "I understand it. Take your time, doctor, take your time, thank you."

The former president then proceeded to leave the protection of his bulletproof barrier and put his arms around a woman who was drinking from a bottle of water.

"You know, they come two, three days early and it's a lot of stress, we lose them," the Daily Mail quoted Trump as saying after he returned to the podium.
"The only ones we don't lose are the front row Joes, I don't know what they have going, they have something going here," the former president continued before adding, "Thank you very much. Thanks doctor."
Stacked shipping containers and multiple counter-snipers on display
The Daily Mail noted how panes of bulletproof glass were not the only sign of beefed up security at the rally as storage containers were also stacked to form a wall.
What's more, the newspaper also pointed to the presence of multiple counter-snipers who had been stationed on rooftops around Trump.
Those measures are an apparent response to the assassination attempt on the former president last month, which left one of his supporters dead.
The tragic incident ultimately led former Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle to step down on July 23 in the wake of mounting criticism from Republican lawmakers.
