Trump suggests that Biden may "crash" DNC and try to reclaim nomination
President Joe Biden caused a political earthquake last month by announcing that he will not run for another term in the White House.
While Biden was quick to endorse Vice President Kamala Harris, one major figure believes that the president will reverse his decision.
Trump suggests Biden may "crash" DNC
According to Newsweek, that suggestion was put forward in post a social media on Tuesday by former President Donald Trump.

"What are the chances that Crooked Joe Biden, the WORST President in the history of the U.S., whose Presidency was Unconstitutionally STOLEN from him by Kamabla, Barrack HUSSEIN Obama, Crazy Nancy Pelosi, Shifty Adam Schiff, Cryin' Chuck Schumer, and others on the Lunatic Left, CRASHES the Democrat National Convention and tries to take back the Nomination, beginning with challenging me to another DEBATE," he wrote.
Trump went on to assert that Biden "feels that he made a historically tragic mistake by handing over the U.S. Presidency, a COUP, to the people in the World he most hates, and he wants it back, NOW!!!"
Political analyst says Trump's comments were aimed at his base
However, political analyst Craig Agranoff spoke with Newsweek on Tuesday, and expressed skepticism over whether Trump's statement should be taken seriously.
He argued that the former president's demonstrate how "it's clear that political rhetoric intensifies as we approach the election season."
"While it's uncertain whether President Biden is reconsidering his nomination, it's important to recognize these statements as part of a broader strategy to energize their respective bases," Argranoff went on to add.
What's more, the contents of a report published by Breitbart last week indicate that it would be all but impossible for Biden to retake his party's nomination even if he were inclined to do so.
Virtual roll call designed to secure Harris' nomination before convention
It explained that the Democratic National Committee had scheduled a virtual roll call, with delegates to finish voting on August 5--two weeks before the Democratic National Convention begins in Chicago.
Although Democrats will still gather for a physical convention as planned, the early vote was intended to preempt any last-minute challenge to the vice president's nomination.
Jaime Harrison serves as chairman of the Democratic National Committee, and Breitbart observed that he put out a statement which all but confirmed that Harris will lead the Democratic Party's ticket.
"Our Party has met this unprecedented moment with a transparent, democratic, and orderly process to unite behind a nominee with a proven record who will lead us in the fight ahead," Harrison was quoted as saying.
