If one of Special Counsel Jack Smith's goals was to intimidate and silence former President Donald Trump, the social media activity of Trump on and before Christmas Day proves that he has failed miserably in that effort, according to The Hill.

Trump let loose with a series of fiery posts to his Truth Social account on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day that were directly aimed at or critically referenced Smith and President Joe Biden and their partisan persecution against him.

Trump lashes out against Smith and Biden

On the morning of Dec. 24, former President Trump posted about his 2020 election-related federal case, "I wasn’t campaigning, the Election was over. I was doing my duty as President to expose and further investigate a Rigged and Stolen Election."

"It was my obligation to do so, and the proof found is voluminous and irrefutable. Therefore, among other reasons, of course I am entitled to IMMUNITY. ADDITIONALLY, I DID NOTHING WRONG. Stop the Witch Hunt NOW!" he added.

In another post later that evening, Trump took a swipe at Special Counsel Smith and President Biden as he wrote of his removal from the primary ballot by the Colorado Supreme Court and separate claim of presidential immunity against federal indictment.

He said, "Almost everybody agrees, even most of the crazed Radical Left Lunatics, that the Colorado decision is political delusion, and that I am, separately, fully entitled to PRESIDENTIAL IMMUNITY, without which Crooked Joe Biden, whose Deranged Prosecutor, Jack Smith, is merely serving his bosses wishes, would be prosecuted for destroying our Country, including his incompetently handled withdrawal from Afghanistan and, also, allowing millions of people to ILLEGALLY INVADE our Country and destroy the very fabric of what the United States stands for, and is all about.

The former president added, "Should Crooked Joe be prosecuted for these, and other of his acts of stupidity? … And why isn’t the Unselect January 6th Committee being prosecuted by Deranged Jack Smith for destroying and deleting all of their evidence and 'work' product? Is it because Crazy Nancy Pelosi was implicated in a cover up?"

"Merry Christmas" to those who deserve to "ROT IN HELL"

Also on Christmas Eve, former President Trump wrote in all caps, "They spied on my campaign, lied to Congress, cheated on FISA, rigged a presidential election, allowed millions of people, many from prisons & mental institutions, to invade our country, screwed up in Afghanistan, & Joe Biden's misfits & thugs, like Deranged Jack Smith, are coming after me, at levels of persecution never seen before in our country???

"It's called election interference. Merry Christmas!" he added.

Trump's tirade continued Christmas morning with a Truth Social post that stated, "It’s hard to have a truly great Christmas when you have a Crooked and Incompetent President who wants to put his Political Opponent in jail, and who has been working hard (for a change!), illegally using all of the levers of Law Enforcement, to do so. We are in the fight of our lives to save our Country from MADNESS & DOOM. MAGA 2024!!!"

He wasn't quite finished there, though, as he said in an afternoon post, "Merry Christmas to all, including Crooked Joe Biden’s ONLY HOPE, Deranged Jack Smith, the out of control Lunatic who just hired outside attorneys, fresh from the SWAMP (unprecedented!), to help him with his poorly executed WITCH HUNT against 'TRUMP' and 'MAGA.'"

Trump added in his holiday greeting, "Included also are World Leaders, both good and bad, but none of which are as evil and 'sick' as the THUGS we have inside our Country who, with their Open Borders, INFLATION, Afghanistan Surrender, Green New Scam, High Taxes, No Energy Independence, Woke Military, Russia/Ukraine, Israel/Iran, All Electric Car Lunacy, and so much more, are looking to destroy our once great USA. MAY THEY ROT IN HELL. AGAIN, MERRY CHRISTMAS!"

Trump insists upon immunity from partisan prosecution

Former President Trump and Special Counsel Smith are currently locked in battle at the Supreme Court level over the claim of presidential immunity as protection against prosecution for Trump's activities in the aftermath of the 2020 election that challenged or questioned that contest's disputed results and for which the former president has been criminally charged.

He has consistently professed his innocence of any wrongdoing and accused his political rival President Biden of weaponizing the judicial system in a partisan fashion to interfere with and prevent his run for re-election to a second term in the White House in 2024.
