Former President Donald Trump escaped yet another attempt on his life last weekend at his West Palm Beach, Florida golf club.

Reports emerged after the would-be assassin was taken into custody noting that security around the perimeter of his award-winning course could use bolstering.

However, according to the Daily Mail, Trump said even though he agrees that the U.S. Secret Service needs to beef up the security situation, it's not going to stop him from playing and enjoying the game he loves most.

The former president revealed his thoughts on the situation in a recent interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity.

What did he say?

Trump explained to Hannity that he admits his Secret Service detail needs to be beefed up in the wake of the potential assassination attempts.

"That's the weakness," Trump said. "I think that's the weakest use you still need the the power of the people."

The former president went on to explain that he'll continue to play at his course despite the security risks, adding that it's a part of his business and one of the only forms of exercise he gets these days.

"I just said let's let's go play a quick round because it's all business for me," Trump said. "It's my only bit of a form of exercise, so I like it, just something that is good."

Hannity replied, "It's also shown very important that you know you be able to go and do what you want in safety."

The Daily Mail noted:

Agents have long been concerned about Trump's golfing. They even showed him photos that were taken by news crews of him golfing, The Washington Post reported. At Trump's Virginia and West Palm Beach courses there are public areas that look on to the golf course. Passersby can see into the area and watch the players.

Too close for comfort

Images emerged this week that showed how close Ryan Wesley Routh got to the former president from a makeshift sniper's perch on the perimeter of the golf course.

"I’ve hunted all my life, all forms of game and wildlife, all sorts of weapons. I could make that shot with one arm & a single shot bolt action rifle, no problem. Like Butler, someone knew something & did nothing about it, which is conspiring. Doing nothing IS doing something!" one X user wrote.

Another X user wrote, "Ryan Routh should never have been able to get that close. Complete FAILURE! This was a INSIDE JOB!"
