Trump's former lawyer turns on him and his son

Jenna Ellis appears to have turned on former President Donald Trump.

Ellis, one of Trump's former attorneys and one of Trump's co-defendants in the criminal case that has been brought against him in Fulton County, Georgia, did so in messages that she recently posted to her X account.

It appears that Ellis, at least in part, was set off by a recent post from Laura Loomer.

Loomer is a Trump supporter. And, by the end of this article, you will see that Ellis is anything but.

Ellis goes on the offensive

Despite the fact that Ellis was responding to a post from Loomer, Ellis decided not to attack Loomer - at least, not initially - but, rather, to attack Trump, as well as Donald Trump Jr.

Here, Ellis is referring to Trump Jr.'s marriage and divorce to Vanessa Pergolizzi and to the fact that, after this divorce, Trump Jr. entered into a relationship with Kimberly Guilfoyle, who was formerly married to California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D).

Ellis, in the post, is also referring to the alleged sexual encounter between former President Trump and Stormy Daniels - an encounter which Trump has vehemently denied.

Ellis, in subsequent posts, continued to attack Trump and Trump's supporters. In one, for example, she wrote, "MAGA doesn’t care about the truth. They just want everyone to say what they want to hear. If you don’t, they’ll try to bully and intimidate you. They’re leftists."

Background

There are several background facts, here, that are relevant.

Perhaps the most relevant fact of all is that Ellis has firmly aligned herself with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis's (R) 2024 presidential campaign. This, of course, means that she has aligned herself against Trump's campaign.

Then, there is the Fulton County case, where Ellis has accepted a plea deal. In exchange for her guilty plea, she has agreed to help the prosecution in its case against Trump.

At the time of this writing, the Trumps have not responded to Ellis. In fact, it appears that they have made the decision to ignore her.

We'll have to see if the silence continues. Based on what we know about Trump, it seems unlikely that it will.
