Trump's victory prompts Democratic leadership purge

Donald Trump's thundering re-election victory has left the Democratic party adrift and leaderless.

While a blame game plays in the media, a quiet purge is underway in the Democratic party at the state level, the Washington Examiner reported.

Democrat purge underway

The shuffle comes after Trump won every battleground state and shifted even blue states like New York and Illinois to the right. He won Florida, a former swing state once won by Barack Obama, by a shocking double-digits.

In the wake of this month's shellacking, Democratic party chairs in Texas, Michigan, and Georgia have either resigned or are facing pressure to, the Examiner noted.

Texas Democratic Chairman Gilberto Hinojosa resigned after his 12 years in power failed to deliver the much-vaunted dream of turning the state blue.

Trump once again crushed that dream, winning the state by a whopping 14 points as Senator Ted Cruz (R) soundly defeated another overhyped Democratic challenger.

In Arizona, another border state, Democrats are privately discussing a primary bid against their own governor Katie Hobbs, who they fear cannot win re-election.

Meanwhile, in Michigan, Democratic chairwoman Lavora Barnes is stepping aside after Trump captured the state and the rest of the Midwestern "blue wall" to secure a path to re-election. But Rep. Nikema Williams (D-ga.), the Georgia Democratic chair, is not taking any blame for Trump recapturing the state after Biden's fluke victory in 2020 - calling herself the “most successful chair of a Democratic Party in our state’s history.”

Still, Williams appears to be acquiescing to pressure from activists, donors, and Senator Jon Ossoff (D-Ga.) to resign - with Williams signaling she will step aside in the near future, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.

In Florida, Democratic chair Nikki Fried says she is "sticking around" despite overseeing a landslide loss.

Libs in turmoil

Although Trump gained in blue states from coast to coast, Democratic governors have doubled down on their woke, liberal insanity as they pledge to obstruct a second Trump administration.

But the party is diminished, divided, and bereft of a standard-bearer.

Even Nancy Pelosi, long seen as untouchable, has faced criticism from Democrats as she seeks to displace blame for her party's disaster onto Joe Biden, who she forced off the ticket.

Incredibly, a recent poll found that Democrats prefer Harris to run again in 2028, despite leading her party to a devastating wipeout.
