Fox News set the social media world on fire last week after, during one of its programs, President Joe Biden was labeled a "wannabe dictator" in the chyron at the bottom of the screen.

According to the Post Millennial, former Fox News host Tucker Carlson revealed that the producer behind the chyron's message was a former producer for his show. Carlson tore into Fox News for how it handled the situation exceptionally poorly against his former producer.

"Wannabe dictator speaks at the White House after having his political rival arrested," the chyron read.

Carlson held nothing back in a scathing rebuke of the network's top management.

"Panicked"

"Those words were up for less than 30 seconds, but the effect was immediate," Carlson said of the "wannabe dictator" chyron. "Inside Fox, the women who run the network panicked."

Carlson added: "He had been at Fox for more than a decade. He was considered one of the most capable people in the building. He offered to stay for the customary two weeks, but Fox told him to clear out his desk and leave immediately."

The PM Noted:

The company then issued a public apology for the chyron that was on the screen for less than 30 seconds, stating "the chyron was taken down immediately," adding that the issue was "addressed."

"That was all true, but it was not enough to save Fox News from the ensuing scandal. For a time in the rest of the media, Fox’s assessment of Donald Trump's arrest seem to overshadow Trump's arrest itself," Carlson continued.

"If some cable news producer had called Joe Biden a genius or accused of being secretly Sudanese, would anyone be yelling about it? Would Fox News have apologized for it? Probably not. But calling Joe Biden a wannabe dictator, that stunk. So you've got to wonder if you're being honest with yourself is Joe Biden a wannabe dictator?"

Good news

The former Tucker Carlson producer, later identified as Alex McCaskill, has reportedly decided to join his former employer at his wildly successful new Twitter-based show, which racks up tens of millions of views per episode.

"The Based Chyron Guy, Alex McCaskill, was a former Tucker Carlson Tonight producer who has now left Fox News after ten years, en route to joining Tucker’s new team. He is one of at least three former producers who have left Fox to join Tucker’s new venture," Chadwick Moore tweeted.

Fox News has to have pretty serious regrets at this point, as now all of the top behind-the-scenes talent appears to be scrambling for greener pastures.
