Tulsi Gabbard eliminates DEI department and related programs from her agency's office

Elon Musk and his Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) are already nothing less than legends for the amount of U.S. taxpayer money they've saved since President Donald Trump took office.

But according to Breitbart, President Trump's Cabinet members, such as Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, are making strides in slashing wasteful programs under their purview.

The outlet reported that Gabbard slashed tens of millions of dollars in government waste, dialing in on "wasteful diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) and other extraneous spending."

Gabbard's elimination of such programs within the U.S. intelligence community falls in line with President Trump's initiatives to cut DEI-related programs across the board.

What's going on?

Director Gabbard, within a few short months, has managed to remove multiple DEI-related programs and resources, which many believe are ironically discriminatory.

In one of her first moves to save the Office of the Director of National Intelligence and the U.S. taxpayer money each budget year, Gabbard eliminated the office's entire DEI department.

In addition, she "scrapped unnecessary conferences, saving $3 million or more per year, nixed unnecessary program licenses, saving $1.4 million per year, and removed redundant secure cloud contract, saving $1.1 million per year."

Even better, Gabbard put a stop to the seemingly never-ending DEI training progams that are not only a waste of money, but take away from the core mission of the U.S. intelligence agency.

Breitbart noted:

On top of aggressively pursuing recent intelligence community leakers and revoking security clearances of Biden officials and signers of the infamous Hunter Biden laptop letter, Director Gabbard has already moved to save taxpayers millions of dollars.

Gabbard's actions have been applauded by President Trump and Musk.
