US Defense contractors throw fancy party to celebrate Ukrainian military

As American families struggle to make it through the holidays, wondering how they'll pay their energy bills and keep food on the dinner table as President Joe Biden's economy continues to devastate nearly everyone, U.S. defense contractors are having a great year.

According to Breitbart, a swanky, large party was held at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington D.C. to celebrate the 31st anniversary of the Ukrainian armed forces.

Why? We have no idea. But peasants are entitled to such information.

The important part is that Biden continues to send billions of U.S. taxpayer dollars to fund the "war" in Ukraine, and for defense contractors in the United States, who are living the yacht life while we struggle, to celebrate their biggest customers in Europe right now.

Who's who

The party was so high-level that it even brought the attendance of Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark Milley, the incompetent military leader who was partly responsible for the failed and botched withdrawal of U.S. forces from Afghanistan last year.

One can only imagine the luxury afforded to guests of such a party, given that it was sponsored by Northrop Grumman, Raytheon, Pratt & Whitney, and Lockheed Martin.

Notably, all of the companies' logos were emblazoned on the invites to the party, which some observers found bizarre.

"It’s really bizarre to me that they would put that on an invitation,” Vox's Jonathan Guyer wrote. An academic reportedly told Guyer, "The fact that they don’t feel sheepish about it, that’s interesting."

Guyer added, "The explicit sponsorship indicates how intimate major military contractors have become with Ukraine, and how much they stand to gain from the war."

Money train

In other words, these companies are apparently raking in so much money from the "war" in Ukraine that they literally don't even care who knows how well things are going.

Vox's reporting noted:

The invitation is a clear expression of how the war in Ukraine has been good for business. As Ukraine fights a defensive war against Russia’s brutal invasion, Ukrainians in Washington have been pushing for the US to send Ukraine more weapons. So far, President Joe Biden’s administration has committed a substantial $19.3 billion of military assistance since February.

The Ukrainian embassy in the United States proudly bragged about the party, publishing numerous pictures of high-ranking officials having a grand ol' time.

"Ukrainian Armed Forces Day in Washington [is] an opportunity to once again remind the world about the courage and the price paid by Ukraine for shared democratic values [and] a chance to express gratitude to our strategic partners for profound aid to Ukraine and the U.S. leadership for creation international coalition to support our country," the Embassy's social media post said.

If this story makes you sick to your stomach, you're not alone. While defense contractors party and eat fresh Maine lobster and Wagyu steak, let's all pray we can afford name brand bologna this winter.
