Like him or not, Ohio Republican Sen. J.D. Vance is whipsmart, and his communication skills are some of the best in the political game.

That was evidenced recently during an interview Vance had with ABC's Marth Raddatz, which has since gone viral as Vance verbally disassembled Raddatz on several issues during their exchange, the New York Post reported.

The two were discussing several topics when they finally arrived on the topic of the Venezuelan gangs that have taken over entire apartment complexes in the United States.

Raddatz attempted to downplay the situation, which prompted Vance to immediately school Raddatz on the seriousness of the issue.

What happened?

The two were talking about a specific Venezuelan gang that has assumed control of several apartment complexes in the state of Colorado. The situation has been happening for several months but was only recently brought to the mainstream news cycle.

Former President Donald Trump, while stumping at a rally in Denver, mentioned the gang, known as the Tren de Aragua (TdA) crime syndicate, and how they've "taken over" the city.

Raddatz apparently didn't like the idea of admitting that such a thing could happen in America under the Biden-Harris administration, and attempted to fact-check Vance by pointing out that it was only happening at a "handful of apartment complexes."

"The incidents were limited to a handful of apartment complexes — apartment complexes and the mayor said, ‘Our dedicated police officers have acted on those concerns," Raddatz said.

That's when Vance kicked into full gear and immediately humiliated Raddatz for her asinine attempt at fact-checking Trump on the issue.

Vance goes nuclear

The vice presidential candidate tore into Raddatz.

“Martha, do you hear yourself?” asked Vance. "Only ‘a handful of apartment complexes’ in America were taken over by Venezuelan gangs, and Donald Trump is the problem and not Kamala Harris’ open border?"

“Americans are so fed up with what’s going on,” Vance went on, “and they have every right to be and I really find this exchange, Martha, sort of interesting, because you seem to be more focused [on] nitpicking everything that Donald Trump has said rather than acknowledging that apartment complexes in the United States of America are being taken over by violent gangs.”

To say Vance put Raddatz in her place would be an understatement. That was a verbal KO.
