A video posted by the daughter-in-law of former President Donald Trump showing him driving a golf cart Saturday with his granddaughter has gone viral.

"Just your average Saturday golfing with Grandpa and Pikachu," Lara Lea Trump posted to her 1.6 million followers.

It was a sweet family moment that has been viewed more than half-a-million times on X, formerly known as Twitter.

What people thought

Trump has 10 grandchildren, including five from his son Donald Trump Jr. and his ex-wife Vanessa, three from daughter Ivanka Trump, and two from his son Eric Trump.

All of his grandchildren live close by in Florida, so Trump can spend time with them frequently when he's not forced to be in New York at his trial.

The comments on the post were predictable in that those who like and support Trump thought it was a sweet gesture of affection, while those who hate Trump thought it was all an act to distract people from the monster that he really is.

For instance, Gina Brown said, "Oh how sweet, have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend, and God Bless President Trump and God Bless our Military Veterans!"

On the other hand, Matt said, "They have to do these staged stunts to try and make it look like he cares about anyone besides himself."

He's winning, though

Despite the virulent hate directed at Trump, he has pulled ahead of President Joe Biden in polls because voters blame Biden (rightly) for high inflation, higher gas prices, and high interest rates that make it hard to buy a house or even a car, or groceries.

People are starting to remember that the economy was good under Trump until COVID happened.

In contrast, Biden has turned everything he touches to manure, including the Afghanistan pullout, immigration, and two foreign conflicts.

Biden looks frail and weak, he sounds confused and befuddled, and no one around the world has any respect for him or America anymore.

Trump is increasingly looked at as someone who can fix these problems. Let's just hope that's true.
