Fox News reported this weekend that FBI agents uncovered yet more classified material late last week during a "consensual search" of President Joe Biden's Delaware home, with some of the documents dating back to his time in the Senate.
As Breitbart noted in an article published on Sunday, that discovery exposes a series of lies told by White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre.
The website recalled how Jean-Pierre told reporters on Friday that the president had departed for his house in Wilmington for a routine weekend getaway.
In reality, the Department of Justice (DOJ) was conducting a search of the property, and their efforts turned up additional material.
Bob Bauer serves as the president's personal attorney, and he admitted as much in a statement after the search concluded.
"DOJ took possession of materials it deemed within the scope of its inquiry, including six items consisting of documents with classification markings and surrounding materials, some of which were from the President’s service in the Senate and some of which were from his tenure as Vice President," the Daily Wire quoted Bauer as saying.
Bauer then went on to add that the "DOJ also took for further review personally handwritten notes from the vice-presidential years."
However, this was far from the only time that Jean-Pierre's statements regarding the document scandal have proved to be misleading.
A Twitter account maintained by the Republican National Committee (RNC) tweeted out a video montage showing how the White House six times that the search for classified material was already complete.
On January 12, the White House said SIX TIMES the search for classified documents was complete.
ANOTHER batch of classified documents — including some from Biden’s years in the SENATE — we’re just discovered at Biden’s Wilmington home.

Other Republicans have not been shy about weighing in on this most recent discovery, with Missouri Sen. Josh Hawley saying it suggests "a pattern of serial contempt for the law."
All the way back to the Senate years. Sounds like a pattern of serial contempt for the law. The American people have a right to know what was in all these documents Biden was illegally hoarding. And who else had access to them https://t.co/SnG8f4DTZw

Fellow Republican Sen. Ted Cruz spoke up as well. The Texas lawmaker wondered in a tweet on Sunday "how on earth" Biden had managed to take classified material out of the Senate.
This says some of the docs are from his Senate service.
Serious Q: how on earth did he do that?
I’ve served in the Senate for 10 years. EVERY single classified doc I’ve read—100%—have been in a secure SCIF in the basement of the Capitol.
What the hell?? https://t.co/XXznYth2dA
