Whistleblower makes shocking claim about Trump's Secret Service

Whistleblowers just made a bombshell claim about former President Donald Trump's security detail on the day of the attempted assassination.

The claim is that the majority of that security detail were not members of the U.S. Secret Service.

This allegation comes from whistleblowers who recently spoke with U.S. Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO). Hawley posted to social media account a letter that he has sent to Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.

"Whistleblowers tell me . . ."

Hawley, in the letter, begins by noting that Mayorka, as the secretary of the DHS, is the head of the Secret Service. Thus, Hawley notes that Mayorkas was and is ultimately responsible for Trump's protection.

The senator then goes on to reveal to Mayorkas what whistleblowers have told him regarding the attempted assassination of Trump.

Hawley wrote:

Whistleblowers who have direct knowledge of the event have approached my office. According to the allegations, the July 13 rally was considered to be a "loose" security event. For example, detection canines were not used to monitor entry and detect threats in the usual manner. Individualsw ithout proper designations were able to gain access to backstage areas. Department personnell did not appropriately police the security buffer around th epodium and were also not stationed at regular intervals around the event's perimeter.

But, that's not all. Hawley goes on to write the whistleblowers told him that "the majority of DHS officials were not in fact [Secret Service], but instead drawn from the department's Homeland Security Investigations (HSI)."

The senator added, "This is especially concerning given that HSI agents were unfamiliar with standard protocols typically used at these types of events, according to the allegations."

What gives?

In the remainder of his letter, Hawley essentially asks Mayorkas to explain all of this.

Mayorkas, at the time of this writing, has yet to reply. Hawley asked him to reply within a week.

It seems as though, every day since the assassination attempt, the American people have learned about yet another failure on the part of the DHS and the Secret Service. But, an adequate explanation for these failures has yet to be provided.

Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle has agreed to testify before Congress on Monday regarding the assassination attempt.

Cheatle has faced significant criticism for her handling of Trump's security. Accordingly, she has faced widespread calls for her resignation. But, she has made it clear that she will not do so.
