The White House of President Donald Trump is calling upon former First Lady Jill Biden to come clean about the cover-up of former President Joe Biden's health issues.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt did so during a recent press briefing, Fox News reports.

This comes amid widespread speculation that Jill Biden likely played a central role in covering up her husband's health issues.

"Jill Biden was certainly complicit"

Leavitt took the issue by the horns at the press briefing on Thursday.

She said:

The former first lady should certainly speak up about what she saw in regard to her husband and when she saw it and what she knew, because I think anybody looking again at the videos and photo evidence of Joe Biden with your own eyes and a little bit of common sense can see this was a clear cover up.

From here, Leavitt went on to argue that the former first lady was "complicit" in the coverup.

She continued:

And Joe, by, Jill Biden was certainly complicit in that cover up. There's documentation, video evidence of her clearly shielding her husband away from the cameras that were just on ‘The View’ last week." She was saying, ‘Everything is fine.’ She's still lying to the American people. She still thinks the American public are so stupid that they're going to believe her lies. And frankly, it's insulting, and she needs to answer for it."

The question now is whether she will.

Background

In many respects, none of this is anything new.

During the Biden administration, there was widespread speculation about Biden's health issues and there was widespread speculation about Jill Biden's role in covering those issues up. At one point, an insider even claimed that Jill Biden was pushing her husband to seek reelection, despite his health problems, because she is power hungry.

Since then, it has become clear that a good deal of this speculation was true. Biden does have significant health problems, and his administration and the mainstream media worked overtime to hide those problems from the American public.

Several specifics, however, remain unclear, such as who was orchestrating the cover-up and who was running the country if Biden was too sick to do so.

Congressional Republicans have suggested that they are going to try to get to the bottom of this, but it is unclear whether or not they actually will. Time will tell.
