White House Christmas photo with Biden and Lynda Carter draws scrutiny

President Joe Biden will definitely leave a legacy behind in the White House and his years in politics -- a legacy of consistently producing some of the most awkward and cringeworthy moments behind the camera in presidential history.

Aside from his gaffes on live -- and recorded -- interviews and TV appearances, Biden added to his collection of head-scratching moments during a recent White House Christmas gathering that included invited guest Lynda Carter, the Daily Mail reported.

Carter, 73, is known best for her iconic role as Wonder Woman, and recently joined forces with celebrity Ryan Reynolds for a SickKids Foundation video shoot.

In a White House photo with the president, vice president, and their spouses, social media users quickly noticed something was off about President Biden's positioning.

What's going on?

The group, which included President Biden and First Lady Jill Biden, posed for a photo in front of a Christmas tree, underneath a portrait of George Washington.

The Daily Mail noted:

Vice President Kamala Harris and husband, Douglas Emhoff, as well as two other guests were pictured together in between two decorated Christmas trees and beneath a portrait of George Washington in the Diplomatic Reception Room.

Social media users were extremely quick to point out just how close the elderly president was to Carter in the picture, virtually standing behind her while his wife, Jill Biden, was noticeably further away on the edge of the group.

In a recet social media post, Carter wrote, "Merry Christmas! What an honor to once again be in the White House. With love, admiration, and friendship, Lynda."

Carter, like most celebrities, is riddled with Trump Derangement Syndrome and a huge backer of Biden and even Harris after Biden was thrown to the sharks by his own supporters to make way for Harris.

Social media reacts

Users across social media torched Biden over the weird photo.

"Maybe he thought she was Jill? Or maybe she uses the same shampoo?" one X user wrote.

Another X user wrote, "Everything about him is just creepy ,Creepy Joe."

Don't ever underestimate Biden's ability to make a moment feel weird when it shouldn't.
