White House pressed about Hunter Biden's bizarre news conference

As House Republicans close in on the Biden family with investigations that have likely only revealed the tip of how deep the corruption goes, the White House is busy backing Hunter Biden's new narrative of playing the victim card.

Earlier this week, Hunter Biden shocked reporters -- and everyone else -- with an impromptu presser outside of the Capitol at the same time he openly defied a congressional subpoena.

The White House -- and specifically President Joe biden -- has been asked several times as to whether or not it agreed with Hunter Biden's shocking move.

During a recent CNN interview, a White House spokesperson downplayed the event and praised Hunter Biden for "standing tall" in the wake of his so-called "recovery" from drug, alcohol and prostitution addiction.

The spin is thick

White House Spokesman for Oversight and Investigations Ian Sams was quizzed by CNN on whether or not it was wise for Hunter Biden to do what he did last week.

“Hunter Biden had a very public moment yesterday outside of the House, saying he wanted to testify publicly, he would not meet behind closed doors with House Republicans. The White House just said the President was aware that Hunter Biden was going to do that, was aware of what he was going to say. Did he agree with the strategy of doing that?" CNN's Phil Mattingly asked.

Sams had plenty of excuses ready to offer.

"Well, look, I’m not going to get into a father’s conversations with his son, except to say Hunter’s a private person. He can make his own decisions about how to handle these sorts of things. But the President loves and is very proud of him. He overcame a very dark period in his life and has stood tall and is in recovery," Sams began.

He continued, "And also, it should be pointed out something that’s getting lost, Hunter offered to testify publicly and transparently. He offered, and the House Republicans rejected it. And it gets to the point of what they’re doing here, they’ll never be satisfied."

It's an "attack"

Same then falsely framed the investigations into the Biden family as an "attack."

"They’re going to continue attacking, over and over and over again, no matter what facts come out, no matter what the truth is. And what’s really scary about what’s happening right now is they’re abusing such a grave constitutional process to do it," he said.

Many on social media noted the "abusing such a grave constitutional process" comment, given how Democrats actually abused the process, multiple times, to go after former President Donald Trump.

New reports emerged that claim Joe Biden is "worried" about his son. As he should be.
