White House promises to prosecute 'corrupt' FBI officials who leaked ICE raids
Republicans were furious last month when the Los Angeles Times published confidential documents which detailed a raid by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) planned for later this month.
Two Trump White House figures have since alleged that the material was leaked by individuals working for the FBI.
Leak blamed on "crooked deep state agents" within "corrupt" FBI
According to the Daily Caller, Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem made that claim in a social media post this past weekend.
The FBI is so corrupt. We will work with any and every agency to stop leaks and prosecute these crooked deep state agents to the fullest extent of the law. https://t.co/HNW1ujf0Gd

"The FBI is so corrupt," Noem complained. "We will work with any and every agency to stop leaks and prosecute these crooked deep state agents to the fullest extent of the law."
Meanwhile, the Daily Caller noted that a similar raid which took place in the Denver Metro area was also compromised by leaking.
ICE agents were met by protesting activists on Colorado raid
ICE agents were targeting members of the violent Venezuelan-based gang Tren De Aragua and had hoped to apprehend roughly 100 targets.
However, 9 News reported that agents were confronted by protesting activists when they arrived at a mobile home park in Thornton, Colorado.
That led to frustration from border czar Tom Homan, who told the news station, "Op secs [operation security] is important."
"That's why when we go on these operations and the operations got leaked somehow, it makes us less successful," Homan lamented.
Border czar says that DOJ will prosecute FBI leakers
What's more, Newsweek noted that Homan echoed Noem's claim about America's top federal law enforcement agency during an interview on Friday with Fox News host Sean Hannity.
"Some of the information we're receiving tends to lead toward the FBI," Homan explained before stating that the Department of Justice (DOJ) has opened a criminal investigation.
Homan went on to assert that the leaks are "putting officers' lives at risk," adding, "It's only a matter of time before we walk into a place where there's going to be a bad guy who doesn't care."
