White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre told reporters on Wednesday that President Joe Biden has been to the border, despite no record of him visiting.
Jean-Pierre refused to answer when Biden visited, though the White House previously mentioned a short drive-by in 2008.

“Since he took office, President Biden has been taking action to fix our immigration system and secure our border, and that’s why on day one he put forward an immigration reform piece of legislation to deal with what is currently happening at the border,” Jean-Pierre said.
“But, you know, we’re not seeing that. Republicans, we’re not seeing a willingness to work with us on fixing a situation that’s been around for decades now," the press secretary continued.
“Instead, they’re doing political stunts. That’s what they wanna do, that’s how they wanna take care of the situation," she added.

"Under pressure, Biden named Vice President Kamala Harris to head up border security efforts in 2021," Fox News reported.
"In June 2021, Harris visited El Paso, which is about 800 miles from the heaviest concentration of illegal border crossings around Hidalgo County, Texas," it added.

The comments come as the border crisis continued in October with high migrant numbers.
"Federal border authorities encountered 230,678 migrants at the U.S.-Mexico border in October, a 1.3% increase from the previous month, according to CBP," the Daily Caller reported.
"There was also a record number of migrants crossing the border in fiscal year 2022, with roughly 2.3 million migrants encountered by CBP," it added.
The border continues to be a glaring problem for the Biden administration, and one it continues to ignore despite pressure from Americans concerned about national security. With Title 42 ending this month, the situation could grow even worse, with more migrants crossing the southern border to end the president's second year.
