Wisconsin Republicans target 'gender-affirming' surgery for minors

Wisconsin Republicans passed a ban on so-called "gender-affirming" surgeries for minors, in an attempt to rein in the insane transgender craze sweeping the nation.

The state's radical governor, Tony Evers (D), has already pledged to shoot down the ban, however, along with a bill blocking males from competing in sports with females, an issue of growing concern to many parents and student athletes.

Sick surgeries BANNED

Progressives coined the phrase "gender-affirming care" to describe the bodily mutilation of children via surgery and hormone blockers.

Despite the obvious risks, "gender-affirming" care for minors has been endorsed as the answer to child gender dysphoria by the medical establishment in America, which is experiencing an ideological revolution.

The ban in Wisconsin is facing opposition from the American Civil Liberties Union, the Medical College of Wisconsin, the American Pediatrics Academy’s Wisconsin chapter, and the Wisconsin School Social Workers Association.

Wisconsin Assembly Speaker Robin Vos said the "science" is far from settled, comparing so-called "gender-affirming care" to the past practice of lobotomies.

Although the bills are doomed to fail, Democrats were left shrieking in outrage anyway as they passed Thursday. Alex Joers, D-Middleton, said there is "absolutely no evidence that this bill is even remotely relevant or necessary."

“I am distraught that members of this body have decided that the best use of our time is to use the full weight of the government to bully, yes bully, the transgender community in this state," Joers said.

Leftist insanity

Republicans across America have opposed the push to "trans" kids as a threat to the safety and innocence of children and the autonomy of their parents -  and a rejection of science in favor of harmful ideology.

Rep. Scott Allen (R), who authored the surgery ban, said there is no evidence that encouraging children to change their bodies irreversibly is good for their health.

“Despite what opponents of this bill claim, there are no long-term studies that show how these irreversible procedures actually help, while there is plenty of evidence and stories that speak of their harm," he said.

Unfortunately, Republicans will need to take back the governor's mansion to undo the insanity the left is pushing - and even then, the state's Supreme Court has flipped to the left.

It shouldn't be this difficult to say that two and two make four - but this is the nature of politics in this crazy era.

" A free people [claim] their rights, as derived from the laws of nature."
