Wisconsin Supreme Court refuses to block Elon Musk from giving out $1 million checks at rally
Tesla CEO Elon Musk made headlines last year when he offered swing-state voters a chance to win $1 million by signing his political action committee's petition.
While Wisconsin Democratic Attorney General Josh Kaul tried to stop Musk from using the same tactic in a state Supreme Court race, the justices have rejected his case.
Emergency relief request declined
According to Breitbart, Kaul sought "emergency relief" preventing Musk and his America PAC from "promoting a million-dollar giveaway to attendees" at a rally scheduled for this past Sunday.
However, Judge W. Andrew Voigt moved on Friday to decline Kaul's request, prompting him to unsuccessfully petition the state's highest judicial body for relief.
Breitbart reported that Musk later awarded $1 million dollar checks to a pair of individuals who had signed America PAC's petition against activist judges.
Wisconsin's Supreme Court election is pitting Democrat-aligned Judge Susan Crawford against Judge Brad Schimel, who has been endorsed by President Donald Trump.
Musk: "Judges should be simply interpreting the law, not making the law"
Breitbart noted how Musk touted the giveaway at his weekend event, saying, "We have this petition … against activist judges because judges should be simply interpreting the law, not making the law."

He stressed that the funds are being provided "in appreciation for the support of people in signing this petition against activist judges."
The billionaire further complained of how "we’re obviously seeing some crazy stuff in D.C. where it seems like … any federal judge can stop any action by the President of the United States."
"This is insane … this has got to stop," Musk declared before adding, "It’s got to stop at the federal level and at the state level. But, let me first hand out two $1 million checks in appreciation."
Schimel says liberal justices "have been going through a political agenda"
For his part, Schimel offered a similar perspective during an interview with "Breitbart News Saturday," stating, "Two years ago, the liberals took over our Wisconsin Supreme Court."
"They got the majority on the court, and since they did, they have been going through a political agenda," asserted Schimel, who previously served as his state's attorney general.
Schimel further maintained that left-leaning justices "are striking down all of the laws they don’t agree with" and "just checking off this list of all these things on their wish list."
