Zac Brown, the well-known country music artist, has announced his divorce from Kelly Yazdi. 

The couple announced their divorce in a joint statement that has been obtained by TMZ.

"We are in the process of divorce. Our mutual respect for one another remains," they wrote.

They added, "We wish each other the best and will always appreciate our time together. As we navigate this personal matter, we simply request privacy during this time."

Four months

The news of Brown and Yazdi's divorce comes only four months after they got married.

TMZ separately reported on the marriage in November 2023. It appears that the ceremony - as well as Brown and Yazdi's relationship - was largely kept under wraps.

"The Zac Brown Band lead singer tied the knot with Kelly Yazdi, a model and actress, back on Aug. 31 in Coweta County, Georgia ... according to the couple's marriage certificate," the outlet reported.

TMZ went on to report that the marriage occurred "a little over a year after Kelly was spotted with a giant engagement ring on her finger."

The outlet added, "Zac reportedly popped the question when they were in Hawaii, but it looks like they didn't opt for a destination wedding ... the docs say the event went down in his home state."

The news of Brown and Yazdi's divorce may not come as a surprise to some. The Daily Caller, using TMZ as a source, reports that several recent signs suggested that the couple may have been having problems.

Per the outlet:

Brown’s fans first picked up on trouble in paradise when they noticed Yazdi had dipped out of social media, the outlet reported. After her brief disappearance, her return was riddled with a number of changes. She had dropped Brown’s last name from hers, and her newly reactivated bio didn’t include any mention of him. She also stopped following Brown on social media, according to the outlet.

The outlet adds, "All photos, posts, and references of Brown were effectively scrubbed from her online profile, which immediately sparked breakup rumors, TMZ reported."

Brown and Yazdi have not elaborated on the cause of their divorce. It appears that they will keep the details of their divorce private, just as they tried to keep their relationship and marriage private.

Brown's marriage to Yazdi was his second marriage. Previously, he was married for 12 years to jewelry designer Shelly Brown before the two divorced in 2018. Zac and Shelly Brown have five children together.
