Lawsuit sparks theory as to why ex-NFL star was replaced at Fox Sports

A bombshell sexual scandal within the ranks of the Fox Sports network has triggered additional accusations and legal challenges for the popular channel.

According to the Daily Mail, former NFL player Marcellus Wiley is reportedly convinced that he was replaced at the network because of an alleged "love triangle" between Joy Taylor, Emmanuel Acho and Charlie Dixon.

The three Fox Sports talking heads were all named in a shocking lawsuit this week that was filed by a former Fox employee and hairstylist Noushin Faraji.

The lawsuit, filed in Los Angeles earlier this week, alleges Taylor exploited sexual relationships with Acho and Dixon to further her career at the network.

What's going on?

The 37-year-old Taylor was also accused of using her "sexuality to get on a show" in 2020, which eventually led to her replacing Wiley, who had worked on the show for nearly four years, according to the report.

Wiley hinted in a recent interview that he doesn't believe it was a coincidence that Taylor began hosting the show with Acho after he was replaced.

"I never heard that Charlie Dixon and Joy Taylor were sleeping together," Wiley said. "But, upon hearing that, I’m not gonna lie to y’all. It makes a lot of things make sense. It unlocks a lot for me."

Wiley floated a hypothetical scenario on his YouTube show this week.

Here's an example of how it can get uglier,' Wiley explained. 'What if there was an employee who lost their job - or their job was negatively influenced, intimidated, moved around, put in bad situations, off the network.

'And it was because their boss allegedly was sleeping with another employee and their co-host was sleeping with the same employee?' he said.

'And then that same employee - coincidentally - just ends up replacing that individual. It's example, of course, but imagine some kid of love triangle where the boss and a co-host were sleeping with the same person who ends up replacing that individual.'

The theory received a mountain of feedback and opinions across social media.

Social media reacts

Users across social media didn't hold back with their opinions on the developing situation.

"Wiley was unfairly booted from FS1. Wow. Media is rotten," one X user wrote.

Another X user wrote, "She's going to zero accountability and blame everyone else."

Only time will tell what comes as a result of the lawsuit and what other lawsuits could be filed in the meantime.
