Trump floats idea of compensation for pardoned J6 defendants
President Donald Trump not only came through on his promise to pardon the people convicted over their involvement in the Jan. 6 Capitol protests and riots, he might go even further.
According to JustTheNews, Trump not only said he'd further explore the circumstances leading up to the death of Ashli Babbitt, but also mentioned the possibility of reparations for the J6 prisoners and people that he pardoned.
The president, early on into his second term in office, pardoned a staggering 1,5o0+ Jan. 6 defendants, fully following through on his campaign trail promises to rectify the situation.
According to Politico, many of the J6 defendants have requested some form of compensation, especially since many were imprisoned for months or years and had their lives completely disrupted as a result.
Possible compensation
In an interview with Newsmax, Trump dropped a strong hint regarding possible compensation for the J6 defendants that he pardoned.
"A lot of the people that are in the government now talk about it because a lot of the people in government really like that group of people," Trump said of the J6 defendants, adding that he believes they acted "peacefully and patriotically."
"These people are incredible people," Trump told Newsmax. "They were treated so unfairly, so horribly. Some of them didn’t even go into the building."
The president also talked about protester Ashli Babbitt, a veteran who was shot and killed at the Capitol by U.S. Secret Service agents.
"Ashli Babbitt was a really good person who was a big MAGA fan, Trump fan. And she was innocently standing there, they even say trying to sort of hold back the crowd," Trump said. "And a man did something to her that was unthinkable when he shot her."
President Trump is working on a “compensation fund” for J6 patriots who he’s pardoned.
They deserve that and more after the years they lost to persecution by Biden’s corrupt DOJ.
Sadly, some persecuted J6 souls took their own lives.

It'll be fascinating to see the left's reaction should Trump find a way to provide compensation for the J6 defendants.
