There's more high drama within the ranks of the royal family this week, this time centering on Meghan Markle.

According to Fox News, the Duchess of Sussex was previously accused of bullying staffers at Buckingham Palace, and this week, her former aide admitted that she was investigated over the matter.

The former aide to Markle and Prince Harry "confirmed she was questioned during an investigation surrounding claims of bullying made against the Duchess of Sussex."

The aide, Samantha Cohen, reportedly worked at Buckingham Palace for nearly 20 years.

What's going on?

Cohen revealed to an Australian media outlet that she was one of 10 staffers interviewed as part of the investigation into the allegations that Markle bullied some of the staffers.

She told the outlet that Buckingham Palace couldn't find a replacement for her.

"I was only supposed to stay for six months but stayed for 18 — we couldn’t find a replacement for me and when we did, we took them on tour to Africa with Harry and Meghan to show them the ropes, but they left (quit) as well while in Africa," Cohen said.

Buckingham Palace launched the investigation into the bullying allegations in March 2021.

Fox News noted:

Markle’s lawyers denied the bullying allegations when they were made. At the time, a spokesperson for the duchess said that the claims were just the "latest attack on her character."

Social media reacts

While the details of the investigation are not being released publicly, as is protocol with such royal affairs, social media users reacted to the news, and most comments were not in Markle's favor.

"Meghan Markle has a very long history of being a bully... The grifter is known for talking down to staff and being heartless & vicious," one X user wrote.

Another X user wrote, "Look at the number of staff that have departed Archewell since leaving UK for US. It’s not the British people who have a ‘different work ethic.'"

Only time will tell if anything comes of the latest revelation, but given how secretive the royal family is on such affairs, the world may never know the full truth.
