Anti-Trump activist says Biden should see a doctor, calls for him to step down
Former Republican writer and publisher Bill Kristol has long been a vocal opponent of former President Donald Trump who voted for President Joe Biden four years ago.
Yet after witnessing Biden's disastrous debate performance last week, he recently suggested that Biden is suffering from medical problems and should see a doctor.
Biden has not had a medical exam in five months
According to Breitbart, Kristol made that suggestion on Wednesday when asked by CNN host Boris Sanchez about how the White House has handled post-debate fallout.
Sanchez noted how "the president had a number of opportunities to speak with congressional leaders and to perhaps even get up at the podium at the White House himself and answer questions directly from reporters going back to the day after the debate." He added, "That's not the approach thus far."
Kristol responded by saying, "No, but what really struck me, I got to say is he has not had a medical exam since February, and he has not seen a doctor since."
"He has not, apparently, seen a specialist since either between February and the debate or since the debate," Kristol continued before complaining, "I find that extraordinary and frankly, just terrible."
Kristol calls Biden's medical situation "irresponsible" and "untenable"
"If he were an 81-year-old who I knew and he had presented as he did Thursday night, I would be urging him to go see a doctor," the writer stressed.
"And if you are president of the United States, one of the great advantages is that you have, you can go to the best doctor from Johns Hopkins or, you know, any of the great hospitals in America. They will come see you immediately," Kristol pointed out.
The anti-Trump activist went on to denounce Biden's lack of medical supervision as being "just irresponsible" and "untenable."
Poll shows just over a quarter of voters think Biden is mentally competent
"The Democratic National Committee, senior Democratic leaders and I have agreed on an orderly process to select our next nominee, which will include debates between now and our convention in August," the hypothetical speech began.
A good draft speech for President Biden.

"My vice president, Kamala Harris, has graciously agreed to participate. Though Democratic primary voters cannot be included at this late date, their delegates will make the final choice," it added.
A CBS News poll conducted after last week's debate found that just 27% of registered voters think Biden is mentally competent to function as president.
