VP Harris still hasn't revealed her policy proposals despite Gov. Walz saying she's obligated to share them

Vice President Kamala Harris has been the Democratic candidate for more than a month now since President Joe Biden ended his re-election bid.

In that time, she has yet to hold a formal press conference or a sit-down interview, nor has she publicly released her policy platform, despite running mate and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz suggesting that she would do so, according to Fox News.

However, in an "epic troll" move, former President Donald Trump's campaign has filled that void with a faux platform of Harris' prior stated policies to inform the American people of just how radically far-left a Harris-Walz administration would be if elected.

Walz acknowledged that Harris owes voters details on her proposed policies

During Gov. Walz's speech at the Democratic convention this week, he appeared to subtly acknowledge the campaign's lack of a policy platform and seemed to suggest that VP Harris was obligated to share one with voters before the election.

"We've got a chance to make Kamala Harris the next president of the United States," Walz said. "But I think we owe it to the American people to tell them exactly what she'd do as president before we ask them for their votes."

The governor would go on in his remarks to mention a handful of important issues -- including middle-class tax cuts, lowering prescription drug costs, and making home-buying more affordable -- but failed to provide any specifics on how those policies might be implemented.

Where are Harris' policies?

Notably, as of Friday afternoon, the official campaign website for VP Harris and Gov. Walz still lacks a policy platform or any indication of what she might try to do if elected as president.

Instead, the website offers little more than brief biographies for the two members of the Democratic ticket along with links to donate to or join the campaign as a volunteer.

Never one to miss an opportunity to exploit his opponent's shortcomings, the New York Post reported that former President Trump's campaign and the Republican National Committee have stepped into the policy void and created a fake policy platform on Harris' behalf.

The "Kamala2024policies" site declares that Harris' "dangerous policies" are no laughing matter, that she is "weak, failed, and dangerously liberal," and that "Not only does Kamala Harris own the weakness, failure, and chaos of the Harris-Biden administration, she is so radical that she makes 'the Squad' look like moderates. She wants to abolish our borders, let criminals control our streets, surrender our communities to cartels and a plague of fentanyl, wage war on American energy, and destroy the American Dream."

"Border Czar Kamala Harris opened the southern border to illegal alien criminals and deadly fentanyl, and as vice president, was the tie-breaking vote for far-left spending bills that raised taxes and sent prices skyrocketing for families across the country," the site continued. "While Harris has tried to rewrite history on her extreme record, she can’t hide from her promises to set murderers free, dismantle America’s border security, raise costs with massive spending bills, bring back the Green New Deal Scam, eliminate private health insurance, and more."

"Harris wants to open the borders, raise taxes, and free criminals."

According to the Post, Trump campaign spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt said, "Kamala Harris has yet to tell voters what her policies are, so we thought we’d help them out. Kamala Harris wants to open the borders, raise taxes, and free criminals."

The faux platform site includes a selection of nine purported policies Harris has previously backed, plus explanations and relevant links, though the Post noted that the vice president has walked back or waffled on some of those prior policies over the past few years.

Some of the supposed policies Harris might implement include abolishing the nation's borders, giving Medicare and Social Security to illegal migrants, defunding the police, ending cash bail and letting violent criminals and murderers go free, eliminating private health insurance, resurrecting the so-called Green New Deal, continuing "Bidenomics" with its inherent inflation, and raising taxes on middle-class families.
