The administration of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris was just caught trying to sneak through a new amnesty program for illegal immigrants. 

According to Fox News, the administration made the move during the week of the Democratic National Convention (DNC), at which Harris was named the Democratic Party's presidential nominee.

The plan is being pursued by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services department.

The plan has been named the "Keeping Families Together" program.

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services explains that the Keeping Families Together plan is "a process for certain noncitizen spouses and stepchildren of U.S. citizens [to gain U.S. citizenship]."

The department goes on to state the requirements for such a noncitizen to be eligible for the program.

They are to:

• Be present in the United States without admission or parole;
• Have been continuously physically present in the United States since at least June 17, 2014, through the date of filing your request;
• Have a legally valid marriage to a U.S. citizen on or before June 17, 2024;
• Have no disqualifying criminal history and otherwise not deemed to be a threat to public safety, national security, or border security; and
• Submit biometrics and undergo required background checks and national security and public safety vetting.

Fox reports that the program would "make an estimated 500,000 noncitizen spouses and another 50,000 noncitizen stepchildren of U.S. citizens eligible for parole."

That's not allowed

Already, it appears as though the program is going to be challenged via the legal system.

Andrew Arthur, a former immigration judge, has said, "This is a massive amnesty that Congress never authorized."

He continued, "Under a Harris-Walz administration, everybody in the country illegally could eventually be eligible for a process like this. It would hold Republicans' feet to the fire to undo it thereafter, but as we’ve seen with DACA, administrative amnesties are difficult to undo."

Former President Donald Trump has been arguing the same, namely, that the southern border crisis would only be likely to get worse were Harris to win the upcoming presidential election.

Trump, for example, recently put out a statement, saying:

Kamala Harris is the Weakest Presidential Candidate in History on Crime. She’s allowed millions of people to pour through our Borders, many from prisons, mental institutions and, indeed, terrorists, coming in at levels never seen before. What gives her the right to run for President? She got no votes to Biden’s 14 Million. She failed in her previous attempt, was the first one out of 22 people to quit, never made it to Iowa, and now she’s a Presidential Candidate? This is a Threat to Democracy!
