Former President Donald Trump recently revealed that his youngest son, Barron Trump, is heading off to university.

Trump revealed as much in an exclusive interview that he did last week with the Daily Mail.

There has been significant speculation in recent months about what the future holds for Barron Trump, including about where he would attend college. The speculation really ramped up following Barron's 18th birthday, which was back in March.

People magazine, at the time, noted that Barron Trump was only 10 years old when his father, in 2016, was elected the president of the United States. Time really does fly.

The latest

The Trump family has been tight-lipped about where Barron Trump going to college. In recent months, the most that Donald Trump would say is that his son is planning on going to a school in New York.

We now know exactly which school it will be, namely, New York University. More specifically, Trump, in his interview with the Daily Mail, revealed that his son will be attending New York University's Stern Business School.

"It’s a very high-quality place. We liked NYU. I’ve known NYU for a long time," Trump said.

Indeed, Stern is one of the best business schools in the country. It has a highly competitive undergraduate program that only about 1 in 20 applicants are selected to be a part of.

Trump also revealed, in the interview, that Barron was indeed considering going to the University of Pennsylvania's prestigious Wharton School, which is the school that Trump and three of his other children attended. But, it appears that Barron decided to go in a different direction.

Leaving behind "child-dom"

In the interview, Trump reminisced about the fact that he and former First Lady Melania Trump's child is all grown up.

"He’s a very high-aptitude child, but he’s no longer a child. He’s just passed into something beyond child-dom," Trump said.

We now know where Barron Trump will attend college and we know what his focus of study will be. The bigger question, of course, is what lies beyond that.

There have been reports indicating that Barron Trump is extremely interested in politics and that, accordingly, he could one day follow in the footsteps of his father. Time will tell whether this indeed comes to pass.

But, we do know that Barron, behind-the-scenes, has been helping his father's 2024 campaign by encouraging his father to do interviews with social media influencers that are well-known to younger individuals.
