Former President Donald Trump is, once again, promising to deport from America a large number of illegal immigrants should he win the upcoming election. 

Trump made his latest pledge during campaign stops, on Friday, in Springfield, Ohio, and in Aurora, Colorado.

Just the News reports that this is particularly relevant for these towns because both "have drawn headlines for crimes committed by illegal aliens."

Polls have also made it clear that illegal immigrants is a significant issue for voters.

"We're going to get these people out"

During his Springfield, Ohio, stop on Friday, Trump said that his administration would do "large deportations" of illegal immigrants.

"We will do large deportations from Springfield, Ohio, large deportations. We're going to get these people out. We're bringing them back to Venezuela," Trump said.

The former president went on to explain how many countries are clearing out their prisons by sending their prisons to the U.S.-Mexico border, given the Biden-Harris administration's open border policies.

"They moved all their criminals, not all of them, but the rest of them. They emptied their jails in Venezuela emptied their criminals, emptied the nests. They're all now in the United States, and they're now taking over cities," Trump continued.

He added, "It's like an invasion from within, and we're going to have the largest deportation in the history of our country, and we're going to start with Springfield and Aurora."

Aurora has been in the national spotlight due to unconfirmed reports of a Venezuelan gang taking over an apartment building after a video showing a group of armed men inside an apartment complex went viral. The department shared a video Friday of officers engaging with residents of The Edge at the Lowry apartment complex, located at 1218 Dallas Street. It’s one of several buildings at the center of concerns regarding alleged activity by the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua (TdA).

Aurora's police chief, however, is trying to claim that this is not true, that a gang did not take over the apartment complex.

Fox News did its own research and found that the gang "first gained a 'stronghold' on" the apartment complex "late last year."

Now, it appears that some arrests have been made and that the police department is at least acknowledging the gang's presence in the area.
