Whistleblower claims Secret Service blocking investigators from Trump rallies

The first attempt on former President Donald Trump's life sparked several high-profile Republicans to launch investigations into how a shooter was able to get as close as he did, and the failures of the U.S. Secret Service.

According to the New York Post, it was revealed this week that the federal agency is reportedly blocking watchdogs and auditors from Trump's campaign events to hide "that the former president is not receiving a consistent level of protective assets."

The bombshell news came via a whistleblower's testimony, according to Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO).

The revelation was of great concern to Hawley and presumably millions of Americans who are now wondering why investigators are being blocked from Trump rallies.

What's going on?

It was noted that Hawley fired off a letter to Secret Service Acting Director Ronald Rowe demanding to know if Secret Service agents are "impeding" attempts to investigate.

Hawley, who has led the charge in the Senate-level investigation into the Trump assassination attempt, held nothing back in his letter.

"The whistleblower alleges that the Secret Service denied access to [Department of Homeland Security] auditors because the former president is not receiving the full level of protective assets for all of his events, and Secret Service leadership wants to obscure or simply conceal this fact,” Hawley wrote.

The whistleblower made several bombshell claims regarding the investigator's being blocked from certain events.

The Post noted:

Auditors with the DHS Office of Inspector General (OIG) have only been allowed to investigate “select events,” including a recent Trump rally in Wilmington, NC, the whistleblower claimed to the senator’s office.

Hawley added, "As you continue to audit the agency’s programs and activities, you should be aware of these allegations, which indicate that the Secret Service is not in fact cooperating with your auditors and is instead painting a false picture."

Still not enough protection

Hawley has also been at the forefront of ensuring that Trump receives the highest possible levels of protection from the Secret Service -- the same that President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris receive.

One X user wrote, "Trump needs to replace all DC regime "security" with a private security force loyal to the Constitutional Republic and keep them through the election and next year's absolute overhaul of the federal leviathan.
And protect Vance, Musk, RFK and Tulsi as well."

Only time will tell if Hawley make any impact on the level of security Trump receives.
