Army Soldier Injured On Biden's Failed Gaza Pier Dies From Injuries
A soldier in the Army who was injured in May on President Biden's failed Gaza pier has died according to an announcement from the Army.
23-year-old U.S. Army Sgt. Quandarius Davon Stanley was critically injured along with two other soldiers in May and medically retired due to his injuries.
The Army confirmed that Stanley died on October 31st from his injuries which the Army claimed were not "combat-related."
Captain Shkeila Milford-Glover, a spokesman for the 3rd Expeditionary Sustainment Command, said on Monday that, "Stanley was injured while supporting the mission that delivered humanitarian aid to Gaza in May 2024 and was receiving treatment in long-term care medical center."
Disastrous Photo-Op
Stanley's death has shined a light on President Biden's promise to Americans that there would be no "boots on the ground” and that he would not endanger the lives of service members.
The Gaza pier was a disastrous photo-op from the beginning that was designed to score points for Biden with angry leftists demanding that the U.S. provide aid to Gaza.
The pier was a failed idea from the beginning as it was more efficient and safer to deliver aid by overland methods.
The cost of building the floating pier was $230 million and it only operated from May to July but was only operational for 20 days before the Biden administration was forced to pull the plug.
To make matters worse, aid offloaded on the pier had to be trucked into Gaza anyway, rendering the sea route unnecessarily complicated and expensive vs. trucking it in overland.
The Palestinians were never onboard with the project and reportedly no longer accepted aid after the pier was featured in an Israeli video of helicopters landing on the beach near the pier after rescuing hostages.
Election Day Nightmare
By every metric, the operation was a disastrous failure and now it has cost the life of an Army soldier.
The news of Stanley's death came on election day which is a major blow for the Biden-Harris administration considering Vice President Kamala Harris's presidential aspirations.
The White House has been tight-lipped about details but it is likely that more information about Stanley's death will come to light soon.
Until then, Americans ought to keep Stanley's family in their prayers. Many Americans will also be considering this pier disaster when they cast their vote on November 5th.
