Trump and Vance did not appear on first page on California ballots, supporters furious
While it appears that the 2024 election has caused significantly fewer legal issues than the 2020 election, there are still some situations that need to be answered for.
According to the Daily Mail, some California voters were "outraged" that Donald Trump's name did not appear on the first page of the ballot, which happened due to the way the liberal state randomizes names that appear on the ballot.
The process involves randomizing the alphabet before placing the candidate's names on the ballot, which led to Trump's name -- conveniently -- being on the next page of the ballot.
Presumably, many voters fail to look at the next page of the electronic ballot, which in this case would cause Trump to miss a vote, or for voters to selection someone they didn't want to select.
What happened?
California Trump supporters quickly realized what had happened after some voters uploaded screenshots of the first page of the ballot, which did not have Trump and J.D. Vance as options.
Some of those people posted clear instructions on how Trump voters could actually cast a vote for him, by pressing the "next" button on the screen to get to the next page of the ballot.
"If you wanted to vote [red] you had to click an extra button to even select the candidates on the Republican ticket, you had to click 'more' to do so," Twitch streamer Darth Caul posted on his X account.
Many who posted the images online likened the situation to "cheating."

The Daily Mail noted:
In California, the order that candidates appear on ballots is determined by a randomization of the alphabet and then rotating the positions based on the California State Assembly district. This gives each candidate an equal chance to appear at the top of the ballot across the state.
Social media reacts
Users across social media, especially Trump voters, were angry that the ballot didn't have the top-tier candidate on the first page of the ballot.
"Thank you Somebody posted the info a couple days ago. So I was prepared. They had enough room for all the Democrats but not 1 REPUBLICAN," one X user pointed out.
Another X user wrote, "Why do these things only go one way? It's never Harris that has this kind of crap happen."
While it might have simply been bad luck of the draw with the randomizer, it's almost too convenient.
