Most Americans pleased Trump won, and like the transition approach
With the majority of Americans expressing happiness or enthusiasm over his victory, President-elect Donald Trump is taking the first steps toward returning to the White House.
According to those who are familiar with the former president's decisions, the majority of people are pleased with his handling of the transition, especially his nomination of Sen. Marco Rubio, a Republican from Florida, to serve as Secretary of State, as The New York Post reported.
Republicans are more hopeful about Trump's presidency now than they were in 2016, according to a study conducted by CBS News and YouGov. Republican voters also had a more positive attitude on the economy since the election.
Cost Prospects
A significant number of people believe that the administration of Donald Trump will assist in lowering prices for food and groceries, which is a primary problem that motivated his support. Inflation, however, continues to be a major concern.
That is in stark contrast to the majority of Democrats , who are reportedly terrified of Trump's leadership, and many of them believe that he will put their liberties and rights in jeopardy to some degree.
Nevertheless, fewer than half of them are motivated to aggressively oppose him, and many of them want bipartisan cooperation in order to secure a smooth transition of power through the process.
Republicans are increasingly describing the economy in positive terms, which reflects the ideological divides that exist in the current economic climate.
Support for Trump's Policies
The majority of Trump voters support tariffs, despite the fact that many of them are willing to accept the possibility of price hikes as a trade-off. Tariffs are opposed by the many, however , who are concerned about the possibility of increased prices.
All of Trump's cabinet appointments have received overwhelmingly positive feedback from his supporters, and all have received net-positive scores from Americans who are familiar with the choices.
Generally speaking, Americans place a higher value on experience and independence, whilst Republicans place a greater emphasis on loyalty as a goal for appointees.
In spite of the fact that the so-called " MAGA Republicans" are more likely to skip this step, there is substantial support from both parties for Senate hearings on Trump's candidates.
Musk and The Future
Despite the fact that sentiments on this matter vary widely across the country, it is noteworthy that a significant number of Republicans support Elon Musk's involvement in the administration.
Compared to the year 2020, the number of Republicans who suspected election fraud in 2024 was significantly lower, indicating that they had a high level of confidence in democracy, as it was carried out at the polls earlier this month.
In the aftermath of the election, the majority of Republicans have shifted their pessimism and now believe that the best days of America are still to come, whilst the optimism of Democrats over the future has decreased.
