White House announces Biden will attend Trump's January inauguration
It will be the last thing that Joe Biden ever does as the President of the United States of America.
According to CBS, America's White House recently confirmed that Joe Biden WILL be in attendance when Donald Trump is sworn in as the 47th President of this great nation.
It's a decision that was never guaranteed to happen, as Donald Trump did not attend Joe Biden's inauguration back in 2021. The swearing-in of Joe Biden took place just two weeks after the events of January 6, which many people consider to be one of the darkest days in this nation's history.
Trump was the first president in more than 150 years to not attend his successor's ceremony.
Biden bringing back tradition
It's hard to tell exactly why Joe Biden is attending the event. Perhaps he wants to prove to America that he's a bigger man than Donald Trump, who was unable to swallow his pride back in 2021.
An even darker theory is that he might be doing it to spite Kamala Harris, who many people think Biden might resent because she was a major part of the DNC's last-minute removal of Joe's presidential bid. Regardless of whether Joe is doing it intentionally to spite Kamala Harris or not, there's no question that it will definitely hurt her to watch her boss hand the keys to the country over to the man who thumped her.
White House lays out the plan
White House spokesman Andrew Bates was aboard Air Force One on November 25 when he confirmed that Joe Biden and his wife, Dr. Jill Biden, would in fact attend Donald Trump's big day.
"The president promised that he would attend the inauguration of whomever won the election," Bates said. You know that has to sting Joe Biden a little, because as of just a few months ago, Joe Biden thought it would be HIM getting sworn in for another four years, not Donald Trump.
The liberals wouldn't let that happen though. It may have been their plan all along to "parachute" in a replacement close to election day. Ted Cruz called it WAY before it ever actually happened.
Democrats KNEW that Joe Biden was failing. Instead of pulling him from the race early and letting a Democratic primary choose their candidate, they simply handpicked Kamala Harris and threw out the primary votes of millions and millions and millions of Americans who had selected Joe Biden to be their nominee.
I would have been furious if I was Joe Biden. Rumors have it that the relationship between Joe Biden and Kamala Harris seriously soured after Nancy Pelosi and other liberals conspired to remove Joe and parachute in Kamala despite what the primary vote tally was.
Cooperating with the next president
Despite his frustration, or perhaps because of it, Joe Biden seems relatively willing to cooperate with Donald Trump when it comes to a peaceful transfer of power in America.
Andrew Bates continued, "Joe Biden and the first lady are going to honor that promise and attend the inauguration. He views that as an important demonstration of commitment to our democratic values, and to honoring the will of the people, as we continue to provide an orderly and effective transition."
Bates even confirmed that outgoing White House chief of staff Jeff Zients has already met multiple times with incoming White House chief of staff Susie Wiles.
I don't agree with many things that Joe Biden does, but I at least appreciate the fact he's acknowledging that Donald Trump beat Kamala Harris fair and square on November 5.
