Donald Trump plans to issue around 100 executive orders after taking office

Donald Trump has a lot of business to get to once he becomes America's 47th President on January 20, 2025, and he's indicating he's not going to waste time waiting around.

According to Fox News, the President-elect has indicated he plans to push around 100 executive orders after assuming office, starting on day one.

Trump reportedly told many Senate Republicans on January 8 about his intentions.

The Meeting

Reports indicate that Donald Trump met with Republicans from the Senate on January 8, with some of the GOP members who were a part of it confirming the news.

Senator Markwayne Mullin, a Republican from Oklahoma, was one of those in attendance. He recently indicated to Fox News that there are "almost 100 executive orders to address issues like border security and U.S. energy."

Kevin Cramer, a Republican Senator from North Dakota, seemed to back up those claims during a recent discussion with The Hill.

"He threw that out — 100 — there could be like 100 EOs, yeah. I believe him," Cramer said.

"There will be a substantial number" of executive orders, said Senator John Hoeven, a Republican from North Dakota.

During the meeting on January 8, the Senators were given previews of what they were told could be around 100 executive orders. The reports were verified to Axios by two different sources.

Taking office.

America can probably trust Donald Trump, but that doesn't mean that Donald Trump hasn't made some outrageous promises in the past. Trump's idea that he was going to build a border wall and make Mexico pay for it and his claim that the 2020 election was stolen were both met with a fair amount of scrutiny. So how do we know Trump is going to be able to get the agenda he promised done this time?

Because he has Republicans backing him up on this one. According to Fox News, not only is Donald Trump going to be using "scads of executive orders" to push his agenda, he will have GOP lawmakers ready to work with him to enact legislative priorities as well.

Two big names, House Speaker Mike Johnson of Louisiana, and Senate Majority Leader John Thune of South Dakota, have both declared their intent to support Donald Trump's incoming agenda.

Biden causing problems

Just because Donald Trump has a strong vision and Republicans behind him doesn't mean that EVERYTHING is smooth sailing right now. One of the biggest problems Donald Trump is currently facing is the fact that Joe Biden seems to be actively working against the things Donald Trump wants to accomplish while in the White House.

Trump wants law and order, so Biden pardoned almost all inmates on federal death row. Trump wants affordable energy, so Joe Biden made most offshore drilling illegal. Donald recently took to Truth Social to vent his frustration on this issue:

Biden is doing everything possible to make the TRANSITION as difficult as as possible, from Lawfare such as has never been seen before, to costly and ridiculous Executive Orders on the Green New Scam and other money wasting Hoaxes. Fear not, these "Orders" will all be terminated shortly, and we will become a Nation of Common Sense and Strength. MAGA!!!

Do you think Trump is going to be able to keep all of his promises? Or is he biting off more than he can chew, especially with Joe Biden working against him?
